My family of 4 will be on the March 13 4 day and just curious if any other disers will be on this one?

You can count us in...we are a family of 4 too! DS is 11 :earsboy: and DD will be 13 ::MinnieMo at time of travel. This is our first cruise and we are all hyped up for it  :cool1: :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

My son is 10 and my daughter is 7. We are so excited as this will be the last family trip that is just the 4 of us, as we just found out earlier this month that we will have a new addition in Sept.

Congratulations! I hope you don't suffer from morning sickness and/or sea sickness!!! Better check with your doctor regarding some safe anti-nausea medication...you can never ever be too cautious, is my motto!

We will be there to. It will be 3 of us. DD is 8, she asks me everyday "now how many days till we go". This will be our first cruise also. Pigget74 - congrats on your wonderful news.

We are all soooo excited about the cruise and the baby. My kids will be 8 and 11 when the baby is born. It is amazing how God blesses you when you least expect it. Well we are on Deck 2 and all my kids can talk about are the clubs. Maybe our kids will be together in the Lab. Hope you guys have agreat trip.

That would be great for the kids to meet up, we'll be on deck 7. DD is also really excited about the clubs plus she can't wait to swim in the MICKEY pool.

My gang is on Deck 6....and my two will definitely be giving the kids' club a try!

Has anyone booked any of the on-shore excursions yet?

We are doing the banana boat ride after lunch and before lunch my DH and DD are signed up to go tandem parasailing at Castaway Cay. We are still trying to figure out what we might like to do in Nassua....hmmm, shopping is always fun!

Since we have found out about the baby we have had to change some excursions. We were going to do the banana boat, but not now. Also, we were going to do Atlantis Hotel has I love waterslides and such, but we have re-thought that one. Also out are some of my spa ideas. Well I go to the doctor next week and I will doube check before I totally take some ideas off the list. We are now debating between Blue Lagoon Beach and Atlantis Beach. On CC I think we are just going to get the getaway package for all of us. My kids love the beach so I think all of these will be fine. We are also at the 2nd seating.

DD and DH are chicken when it comes to activities in the water. I wanted to do the swim with the dolphins but DD said no way so that is out. While at Castaway Cay we will be doing the glass bottom boat ride. Also while DD is on the kids beach, DH and I are planning on getting the couples massage at Serenity Bay. We will be doing a lot of shopping in the morning at Nassau and then do Atlantis in the afternoon. We are at the 1st seating. As soon as we board I will be booking Palo.

It is the 2nd seating for us...we booked back in July and even at that time there was only 2nd seating available. I've been reading through these boards and it seems both seating times have their advantages.

I must confess that I am the "chicken" in our family; notice it is DH and DD who are going parasailing; me an my DS tend to be a little more cautious and tend to shy away from thrill seeking! (That and the fact that I have a tendency to get motion sickness in addition to an aversion to heights and small spaces!!!!). It is -30 Celsius with the windchill factor :cold: here so sitting on a sandy beach :sunny: with a cold drink sounds thrilling enough for me.

Sooo, has anyone started pulling out clothes to pack yet? I will be the first to confess that I started sorting through clothes that I wanted to pack way back in September when I was going through drawers/closets to make room for all the the winter clothes. Can never be too prepared, ya know!

First timers here. My 9 year old son and I are booked to go. I can't wait. He's packed his case about 30 times already. I'm anxious to get my info from Disney. I guess I won't really believe that I am going till we get that stuff.
:hourglass

More Cdn cruisers here! We'll be on this one too.
Also have 2nd seating, also on deck 6.

I'm in for the shopping in Nassau!! (Can't say DH is too up for it
but I'm sure he'll make do)

:wave2: Canadian Cruisers family of 4 from Ontario; 2nd seating, Deck 6 reporting in! :cool1:   :dancer:

Has anyone else in this post noticed that there are a couple other March 13 threads floating around on this board! Any way we can amalgamate? :confused3 ..I've been flipping from thread to thread for the past couple days!!!

:cool1:
i also will be sailing on this cruise with my 2 dd's aged 17 & 14/we were on this cruise same time last year & rebooked as soon as we got home/hope to meet some of you there..

Disneydad+2girls-can you give us an idea of what to expect? Any recommendations? Dos and Don't dos?

when we cruised last year it was our first cruise..so i have no other to compare it with,,however we had an absolute blast..try & board the ship as early as possible sunday & go hungry :) as soon as you are boarded they escort you directly to the beach blanket buffet & from then on the food never stops...we found the live stge shows excellent..we had second dinner seatings which we liked we went to early theatre & then dinner/nassau we went shopping only last year this year we are signed up for the discover atlantis shore excursion/castaway cay for us was the ultimate day/just relaxing in the sun/ & again more food / the gift shop on castaway cay is very busy later in the day when everyone starts heading back to the ship so if you want to purchase anything here do it earlier in the day & keep it with you if you can,,the line up & cash are painful :rotfl2: anyway have fun i am sure you will enjoy it

Thanks for the info and the tips! Every little bit helps.
We are very excited! See you all there!

Well after reading these threads for awhile it's time to join in. My family will also be onboard. DD is 8 and DS is 4. I'm also taking my mom along as she hasn't been away on a vacation in a very long time. This is my 40th birthday celebration and I couldn't imagine spending it any other way. After the cruise we will be at Disney World for another 5 days at the Boardwalk Villas.

We just received part of our paperwork two days ago. We have two connecting staterooms on Deck 2 and we've received the paperwork for one of them. Just letting everyone know - the papers are coming!

Here's hoping they come soon! Did you book through DCL directly or through a TA?
