March 13, 2011 - DREAM

So about Atlantis ... I understand if I rent rooms at Comfort Suites you get passes to Atlantis. We have 5 people (my mom & stepdad are not interested in the waterpark) so we would need 2 rooms. Should I get 2 rooms- or 1 room and just buy 1 pass? The room is about $260 and passes are $170 each (I think). Or is there someone here who would possibly want to share the 2nd room? You can have the room-since we would have the other - just need 1 of the wristbands.. Thoughts??
I have 2 rooms for 7 people, which means I have one extra space in one of the rooms. We could add your 5th to that room to save everyone a little money.

Make sure we meet up on Sunday.

I think we are ready and all packed.:confused3 I always stress over what I might have forgotten and getting it to all fit.:scared1: We took out:scared1: a couple of items this afternoon, but still have packed more than we need.

Tomorrow's agenda is light: take luggage to son's house and drop bird off at the vets for boarding and birdie checkup. Then it is home to work out and get some rest before the big day!

Time to hit the elyptical machine again today!

Jennifer - Hope you did well on your exam! WAY TO GO:thumbsup2

HappyontheLake - Hope everything went ok with the root canal :flower3:

To everyone that has packed (which is not me!), what type of clothes are you bringing? I'm afraid to bring too much cool weather stuff, but I heard folks were layering alot and only wore shorts a few times.

Made it to Zumba today - yeah! And spent some "girlie" time with my DD getting pedis :cheer2: So happy now... After the cleaning ladies come tomorrow and I have about 4 conf calls, then I will pull the suitcases out and layout the clothes for the kids and I. Told DH he's on his own with the packing :lmao: Have open house at the school tomorrow nite from 6:30-8p, so we're going to try and go on the early side to get back here and pack! I'm off on Friday so I can shop and get last minute things together. Our flight isn't until 6:15p (ugh!), but I'm going to try and get standby earlier - stop your laughing ;)

Ok, starting to get excited now :yay::yay:

Yes, made A's on all 3 of my midterms. Thank you guys!! All is packed and ready to roll. Hubby is mad at me because I'm not in favor of him going to Laberge casino in Lake Charles. We will only be in LC for one night; why would you want to donate money to the casino?:confused3 Anyhow, I pray that everyone has a safe trip this weekend. See ya soon:cool1::cool1:

Congrats on the exams, Jennifer!:worship:

Happy, hope all went well at the dentist!:goodvibes

Soccer Mom, I packed a combination of jeans and capris, one long-sleeved t, several short-sleeved t's, 2 pair of slacks and dressier tops & 2 cartigans for dinner. I also packed two jersey-knit jackets and a pancho. Some of the t's will double for days & dinner, and "dinner" cartigans could keep me warm in a pinch during the day. Also packed a swimsuit--hope it is warm enough to wear it! I packed way too much, but it is hard to know what to expect weather wise.:confused3 Taking luggage to sons this morning, so I can stop packing in my mind when I try to sleep tonight. It's a done deal.:banana:

We leave tomorrow on a 5:05P flight with DIL and youngest granddaughter.:cheer2:, while son is on the 6:20A with oldest granddaughter. DIL's parents do not leave until Sunday but also on the 6:20A flight--too early with the time change!:scared1:

S
Double congrats on the exams Jennifer!

Root Canal part went well, but the jaw couldn't handle it -- spasms all night and this morning, off to go get steroids to calm it down. That should be fun for the next couple of days, not. But at least the jaw should feel better and the tooth doesn't hurt any more. Should lose a couple more pounds since I can't open my mouth, LOL.

DH is sleeping off the jet lag, and only one more wake-up until spring break!

Ok, so we are leaving today, Florida bound from Texas!! Hello Wilderness Villas, but can't wait til a little Sunday Dream!! Traveling mercies to everyone! I am believing we are all going to have an amazing cruise!!:yay::cool1::thumbsup2

Does this mean Kevin Frankish will be getting off the ship the same day we are going to get on? We're going to be in Orlando already tmr morning....so no BT for us....booo.

I would think so, he was at the MK this am.

He is on twitter and there are pictures of him on the Dream

Yea!! We just have to finish packing! I thought we would make it with one suitcase but it ended up being 2!
:woohoo:

Here are the plans for the Dis meet. Thanks Soccer Mom!:lovestruc Hope to see everyone on board!:grouphug:

Hi....

From my understanding, there will be 2 sail-a-way parties (2:45p and 4:30p) which will last about 30 mins each. The lifeboat/muster drill is at 3:45p and yes, you are not required to wear your lifevests! That will last about 15 mins.

So, I received a recommendation to meet on Deck 12 (starboard side - by the dock, by the Aquaduck...map shows open area), b/c it is fairly open there. If there is bad weather, let's plan on meeting in the Bon Voyage bar adjacent to the lobby (although I hear it is small). My family and I will be in white t-shirts w/Steamboat Willie postage stamp pics on them - yes, DH has no idea on this one yet :rotfl2: I will also try to hold up a sign of a mickey head with Dream 2011 on it!!! Let's plan on 3:15p....that way folks should be on the decks already for the sail-a-way party, or at least onboard! This gives us 25 mins before we need to dash to the lifeboat drill...

WE LEAVE TOMORROW! So ready. Delivered luggage to DS's house and bird to Vet for boarding today, and cleaned the messy bird's room/cage. Now for one more workout and a good night's sleep before the shuttle comes after lunch tomorrow. I feel like the lady on the commercial in front of the locked store door yelling, "Open, open, open..." Time to get this show on the road or in this case in the air.

Leros..I believe the meet is 3:15 by Aquaduck...correct me if I am wrong OPs

I cannot believe it is almost time:cool1: One more day of teaching before the break !!
The weather report looks amazing. :cloud9: I am so excited for the shows. I LOVE watching live Broadway style shows. Looks like they are different from those we saw last year on the Wonder. Which is exciting for something new.
Fingers are crossed that I will be able to switch to main dining from late.

2am and my wife and I are packing. Finished my magnets for the magnet exchange and the signs for our door. Got the snorkel gear assembled. Just have to figure how to seal the waterproof cameras.

Packed and ready. DS's and oldest GD's flight took off at 6:25 AM:cool2:pirate:, and we leave after lunch with DIL and youngest GD.:banana::teacher:princess:

SEE YOU ALL IN MY DREAM!:grouphug::hug::dance3:

It appears as if we are moving everything we own onto the Dream this week. Just a few more hours and we will be on our way! Need to stop at a bank for a small loan to pay for the gas :scared1: In 1100 miles we will be there! See everyone on deck 12 Sunday! We will be the crew in the White Donald Duck shirts. Safe travels everyone....

We will be the family with the 6'6" boy child and his 3 little sisters -- oh yeah, and his parents. I will put a big bow on my 13yo daughter (who is 5'7" short). Yeah, we make them tall in Texas :lmao:

Time to tackle Mt. Laundry one more time (and to inspect the suitcases my girls packed for themselves :confused3 )
