Im surprised you havent heard anything about it. There was a big hoopla about it not too long ago on these boards. Theyre doing reno's, starbucks will be replacing the bakery, BUT, a lot of the same treats will still be available. some treats have moved to Gaston's, like the cinamon buns. The ice cream sandwiches moved to the plaza ice cream parlor.

I was against the reno's at first, but now that i think more about it, im actually getting excited. MK really needed a somewhat decent coffee shop (even thou im not a starbucks fan). This might be a nice change.

Well that's good to know! Thanks for the info. As much as I like Starbucks I was disappointed to see the Bakery being changed- We love the Cinnamon buns! At least now we can get a decent coffee and then take a walk over to Fantasyland!

    I totally agree!

But it seems that after so many years of familiarity, Disney is mixing it up quite a bit but I think it's for their bottom line more so than customer satisfaction!

I can't imagine partnering with Starbucks will make them more money than charging $2.75 for cheap sludge. I really believe this one is in direct response to complaints. And therefore is all about customer satisfaction.

I hear you. I can see it. A lot of ppl over the years complained about the nasty disney coffee....disney finally listened, and delivered! (I was hoping they would go with someone better than Starbucks, but hey, beggars cant be choosers!) Lol! Maybe soon they will be bringing in better bacon! One can only hope.

The bakery needed a change to be honest. We might be pleasantly surprised. I guess we have to wait and see.

The interior will be remodeled and it will reopen selling Starbucks coffee, some Starbucks food products, and some of the previously sold Disney baked goods. This is what Disney has said. They haven't thrown any illumination on which Disney baked goods will still be sold, and which won't. And technically it will not replace the bakery. The shop will still be named Main Street Bakery.

this is following what appears to be a very successful integration of Starbucks into a coffee shop at Disney's California Adventure. A Starbucks outlet is planned for all four of WDW's theme parks.
