Magic Band Question

Not sure if this is the correct place for this question, but a friend and I are going to WDW together but we'd probably like to have our magic bands linked to different credit cards. Is that possible? I was under the impression that the MB were linked to the hotel reservation.

You'll have to go to the resort front desk to set it up. Make sure it was done correctly! Have the front desk run your bill at least once before you check out - that might save you a nasty surprise at checkout if it wasn't set up the right way.

You can't link your magic band to a credit card, only the room so whatever card you have tied to the room for charging privileges is what will be linked.

Yes I have done this before, and it turned out they didn't do it right so that all charges were still sent to one credit card, although they were itemized by band. But it can be done, so if you have them set it up just make sure they have done it right.

It is true, bands are not linked to credit cards directly, it is through the room account, so if you want different payment setups it has to be done by the resort.
