In response to Pete, I am sort of a lurker. Don't post much, but read occasionally.

So, hi, I'm Jim, I'm an occasional lurker.

    Hi Jim and Welcome!

Glad you decided to come out of the woodwork. :) Obviously you listen to the podcast. I'm wondering if you have a favorite segment. One of my favorites is any Pete Rant. Also love Kevin's Restaurant reviews.

Favorite part, the one liners that always seem to happen. Examples:
Here's your rookery bar, you fat cow.
The ice cream man blows the cow
    I can't quit you

Personally, I also enjoyed hen Pete deemed my wife and I "evil and sent from Satan"

Hello Jim :) Lurking only lasts so long. I'm still working on posting more often. When's your favorite time to listen or check the boards?

I look at the boards when I have time and/or board. :)

Thanks, Jim for setting opening this thread. I'm kind of like you, I've been listening to the podcast almost since the beginning, but haven't been on the boards much. I look forward to posting more and getting to know everyone on the boards!

Hi Jim! I am also a semi lurker. I keep peeking my head out and then ducking back in. I just heard Pete's request on the podcast so I decided to give it one more shot.

Hi, I'm Debbie, long time listener and lurker. We are headed down to the world this November from Chicago. Can't wait!

Hi Debbie. Like you and Jim, I'm a lurker here on the boards as well. I decided to be brave and try to start posting more often. From all the lurking I've done - I know that this is great community and very welcoming to one and all.

I just started posting again myself. :) In 10 years I have less than 200 posts, but I'm a loyal podcast listener and board reader. :worship:

    Hello everyone!
Not only am I new to the boards but I am also new to the wonderful Disunplugged podcast. Oh, and I am a lurker!
Funny story, about 15-16 years ago I use to hang out/ lurk in the old AOL chatrooms (Virginians online in particular). One night an online acquaintance sent me a private message and told me to SAY something in the room and stop lurking! So I did and I ended up making some really good friends (life long friends!)
Guess what? That friend, who is a life long buddy, is doing it to me again! Bornteach is helping me out again! She's my social Jimminiy Cricket! She has told me so much about the wonderful people she has met and conversed with over the years so I thought I would jump in! She is forcing me to do this but I know I'll love her for it!

Wanted to extend a warm :welcome: to all the new posters. Nice to see so many come out of the woodwork. That first step is always the hardest.

Special note to Kidtcha, that Kristin is a hard one to ignore. :surfweb:
