Does anyone know whether there is an airport lounge at Orlando International (i.e. somewhere you pay to stay for a few hours to can relax, watch TV, eat snacks, etc.)? Last time we flew from Sanford and used the Palm Lounge.

We have booked the Servisair Lounge at Gatwick but I cannot find anything similar for our return journey. Thanks :thumbsup2

Hi there,
We did go in a lounge at orlando international but cant fro the life of me remember what it was called!! Its not a patch on the escape lounge at Manchester.
Its a nice area to relax and when we were in it Virgin stewardess escorted us onto the plane!!!
Ill have a look thrugh my photis see if i can find out what it was called for you x x x

While it's not exactly a lounge, you can visit McCoy's bar and grill in the Hyatt hotel on the airport. If you don't want to eat, there are many sofas to relax on in the area in front of McCoy's. As long as you buy a drink from the roaming servers, they are very happy for you to use the facilities.
It's nearly always quiet and a great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the airport. Just remember to allow your self enough time to get through security as it's landside.

The lounge was in the main area near gates 80/81 as used by VH and BA.
Was upstairs next to Starbucks, we used it in March and when we went to use it in October it had been changed to Delta only, it was quite funny really, we went up to check in (we have Priority Passes) and when he asked for our tickets, he said out loud that we had Economy tickets! Oh dear, common people! LOL!!!

He said we could pay something ridiculous like $50 each I think. Other than that, the VA terminal (A is it?) has no more lounges which is a shame, the one at Orlando was spacious and nice, no food like MCO though.

The Delta lounge is still used by Virgin and BA, was in there earlier this month.
Slightly smaller than it used to be, therefore more crowded, but better choice of snacks than in the past

Maybe they did not like the look of me! LOL! Can I ask did you pay, where you travelling PE?

:) Thought so.

Could that be the discrepancy here? is the lounge only for UC flyers which is why the OP was not allowed access?

EDIT:
One day I need to have a problem only you can fix so I can do the "Help me Obi Wan" line :D

Double EDIT:
If you don't mind me asking how do you manage to fly UC so often?
Are you an incredibly rich person I need to make my close and personal friend? ;)
Are you VA staff?
Do you just go less often and save?

:)

Obi is Richard Branson, although its not a secret - he likes to be known by his username.

Shhhhhhh, Kev! What are you thinking?

Seriously, we've been using the Hyatt lobby/McCoys ever since I read the tip in A Brit's Guide 10 years ago. As Kev says, the lobby is a haven of peace and tranquillity, with plenty of sofas and a huge plasma TV. McCoys bar and grill tucked away in the corner does some pretty decent food, or you can have it delivered to the lobby lounge if you prefer. The restrooms are always quiet, too, and we use them to get changed before the flight.

It's located at the far end of the airport, up the escalator directly above the security checkpoint.

Sounds good, thank you for the info. :)
