DSs karate class is having a halloween party next saturday and we are all asked to bring something. i signed up to bring a treat but i am now stumped as to what to bring. they had a back to school party and everybody brought cookies and cupcakes. someone brought a veggie tray but it never got touched. the party will be at 11am. i just dont know what to take. i know they wont need more cupcakes. so any suggestions??

A fun treat that my DS loves is made with popcorn and candy corn. You take a clear plastic disposable glove and put one candy corn in each finger, then you fill the rest of the glove with popcorn and tie the end. They are really cute and the kids love them.

Here something fun, but you will need paper plates and spoons to serve it in...

We call it dirt or you can call it haunted graveyard or something like that...\

Take some Oreo type cookies and crush them (maybe 1/2 a package-- generic brand will work, dont worry!

Put the crumbs aside!

Now take some chocolate pudding (make a batch up ), and mix it with some cool whip. (Maybe 3/4 container of that as well)... it will be pretty frothy...

Alternate layers in a a glass bowl...

start with crunchies... then add the pudding, then crunchies, then pudding... the top layer should be crunchies....

You can then put some gummy bugs or gummy body parts or halloween gummies on top...

you can use the remainder of the white cool whip, and sort of plop some with spoon, and call them graveyard ghosts or something like that... if it stays cold, its awesome, and good....

I know this is boring but cheese and crackers~ kids love it for some reason I think they even get tired of all the sweets and look for something healthier. I bought colby cheese and used a small cookie cutter in the shape of a pumpkin~ and ritz had halloween crackers out.

Cover Nutter Butter cookies with white frosting and use brown tube of cake decorating gel to make eyes and mouth for a ghost! Also, those Keebler cookies that are round with chocolate on bottom, have chocolate side up and attach a Hershey's kiss in center with gel. Looks like a witch's hat. Use orange or green decorating gel to make a bow on the hat. Both are quick to do:D

I took mini corn dogs and some mustard and ketchup to a party at my son's class last year. They went over well.
