Hey There!
I used to be into trading cards big time - but no more. But perhaps this info will help you out.
Trading cards (non-sports is the category the Disney cards are in) were "hot" back in the late 80's, early 90's when, like so many things, the manufacturers flooded the market with series, and reduced the quantities of each to make it harder to "collect" - thereby ruining the whole market. Prices went up, quality went down, well, you know the old story.
So unfortunately, the bottom has fallen out of the non-sports card market, even the Disney cards. When the Lion King set was first released, it sold for $12 - $15 dollars for the complete regular card set (typically 90 cards), not including the cards called "chase cards" that were extra-limited (like 1 packed randomly in every 10 packs). The Chase cards tended to have "foil accents" or special embossing to make them different from the regular cards in the set. These cards originally sold anywhere from $5.00 - $12.00 each (depending on the rarity). Depending on which set you have also makes a difference. There were 2 series, plus there were variations on the Lion King set series (Wal-mart put out a variation made by the same manufacturer of the primary series).
If you look on eBay, these cards do not sell for $5.00 a set any more, and the chase cards are hard to sell for $2.00 - $3.00 each.
There used to be price-guide books for these cards, but now, I don't think there are any more specifically targeted for the non-sports market. You may have luck in finding them in a Tuff Stuff Collect (if they still manufacture THOSE).
I do have a price book from 1995 (or it may be 1996), but this data is woefully out of date.
Enjoy them for the tiny pieces of art they are, and hold on to them, because right now, they really are not worth "a lot".
Hope this helps!
