Is there anyway to limit which KTTWC for a specific room can use the dining plan? There will be 4 adults and 2 kids in our room most of which have never used the DP. I am nervous the others will get confused and waste the snack credits on things like water.

Nope. All cards will have access to all credits.

And trust me, I have had plenty of sessions of scolding (adult) travelling party members for using snack credits for things like bottled water (especially when we were all carrying water bottles in the first place).

What has seemed to work best for us is to tell everyone: Look, you have one snack credit per day. One. Per day. Please use one every day. If you share snacks, fine, but use the other person's credit on something else later. If you are not hungry, fine, buy something that will keep and bring it back to the room.

At least that way we make sure that everybody gets to use their credits, and nobody can accidentally spend seven of the others' since they know they have one to use for themselves, period. It's a little rule-heavy, but it is the only thing we've ever come up with that keeps the credits available past about day three with a large party.

All the credits will be listed on every card.

You could hold onto the kids' cards so that they don't accidentally use their credits without your supervision.

As for the adults you can set a minimum price point for using a snack credit and let them know anything less than that price needs to be paid OOP. Although a person could use all their snack credits in one day, you could also set a limit of only one each day for your group.

To keep track of credit usage, you can get a print out of credit usage at the front desk every night if you wish. Also remaining snack credits will be listed at the bottom of the receipt you get when you use a snack credit.

Here's a list of items that can be purchased using snack credits to help you determine what's available and prices:

Can't you have kid's cards not be allowed to make room charges? Would this apply to the DDP as well?

Yes, any card can be set to "no charging privileges," meaning they cannot access the room charge account for purchases. Cards for guests under 18 come set this way by default; you can turn them on if you want to, or leave them that way.

You cannot remove ddp credit usage from any of the cards, however. All cards, adults and kids, in the same room will have access to the ddp credits for that room.
