I wanted to know if I needed to pack a life jacket for my son in case it is warm enough to swim in the pools and also if they are at Typhoon lagoon? thanks

No you do not need to pack them. The hotels have them available at no charge, unless you don't return them at the end of your stay. And you can also get them at the water parks, not sure if they take a deposit to make sure they are returned, but in the end they do end up being complimentary!

You do not have to pay a deposit. There are bins of life jackets at each pool -- you just help yourself and return it when you are finished. Here's a picture of my dd2 in the POP pool.
