If we are at MK the day of a MNSSHP and have an ADR for Dinner at LTT...will they let us in even though we don't have tickets for MNSSHP??

why wouldn't they?

If you get out after MNSSHP starts, they'll probably just ask you to leave the park since you won't have wristbands.

If you have a valid ADR, they have to let you in, just after you eat if you do not have the wristbands, you will leave.

We have a ressie for Crystal Palace at 6:30 pm and LTT at 5:55 pm, both during nights when there is MNSSHP and we do not have tickets for the events. Linda

This exact thing happened to us last year...If I am not mistaken, the parks closed early, so we could not go to dinner at the Liberty Tree..I think we would have had to have dinner at 3pm or sometime like that because of the park closing to get ready for the party..

Hope this helps!

This is interesting...as the OP never said what time the dinner was. I was assuming they started before the park closed. Does the restaurant stay open for the party? Under the new procedure, the park does not close to get ready for the party, you just need to have a wristband after 7.

If the start time for the ADR is after 7, then no, they most likely won't be let into the park without a party ticket. If they're already in the park, no idea if the restaurant would turn them away because they don't have the wristbands.

Our Dinner ADR is for 7:30pm....but we will be at the MK that day...so we were just going to wait for our ADR and then afterwards leave the park. But seeing as MNSSHP starts at 7pm....I don't know if they will even let us be in the park to wait for our ADR.

I'm thinking that maybe dining didn't inform you that you needed a park admission, as they do often when you make other dining ressies. In this case, the park is closed at the time of your ADR.

I guess you could show up at LTT when the park closes officially and wait for your table to be available?

That's really odd. The park officially closes to non-party guest at 7pm. So the CM probably shouldn't have given you that ADR. The LTT dinner has the characters all dressed up, so it's supposed to be a perk of the party. However I know that they aren't supposed to let you on rides without a wristband, but can't see them physically marching you out of the park. Do you DISers think that they would turn them away from the LTT because they didn't have wristbands?

If the costumes on the characters are a perk of the party, why do they allow ADRs before the party starts? Do the characters change into costumes at 7?

After 7 the cast members are supposed to ask anybody who doesn't have a wristband to leave the park. I'd suggest that the OP try to change the time of their ADR.

I believe that they are already in their Halloween gear before the 7pm start. So you can experience it without going to the party. Logistically it's probably easier for the characters to already be dressed for the evening at the beginning of service. So it's not a hugely exclusive perk I guess!! It's more of a mask thing and a few halloween touches to their colonial dress rather than a full on costume, but still adds to that Halloween party spirit.

From what I've seen on nights during the special ticketed parties, CM's begin corralling guests toward the exits from the back of the park and heading forward. If you don't have a wristband, you cannot pass the CM. Two CM's hold a rope - kind of like do for parades and they will not allow you to pass.

You may want to check with Disney Dining and perhaps even call guest services for the MK and confirm that you will be allowed in the park for your dining reservation. I'm betting they will not allow you in. Who ever booked your reservations must have known, or realized - they were booking during a special event and should have told you that park admission is required. It's a standard statement they tell people for any/all reservations. Now, if one is already in the park, I still wouldn't expect to be allowed to dine because typically, (again, my experience) - Disney Dining will tell you the "last seating is at xx-o'clock - after that, separate park admission is required. Something like that....:thumbsup2

I agree that if they are not already in the park at 7, they won't be allowed in unless they have a party ticket.

If their ADR time was, say, 6:30, I believe they would be seated, but as soon as they finished dinner they'd have to leave the park.

I also agree that Disney Dining should have notified them that they could not make an ADR after 7 unless they were attending the party.

If they are already in the park, and enter the restaurant before 7, will they be permitted to stay for their ADR or not? I think if they're out in the park, they'll be shown the door. But what if they are already in the restaurant? Will the restaurant state that because their ADR time is after 7, they will have to leave unless they have wristbands?

I think they should change the ADR to a time before 7 to avoid problems, but maybe someone else has experience with this.

I'm thinking you guys are right. OP should call Dining to clarify and avoid disappointment and frustration.

I just called to make dinner ressies for LLT the night we'll be attending MNSSHP.

Ressies are 7:20 WITH TICKET. No ticket, no eat. She was firm about that.

I would suggest changing the time, or plan on attending the party. It's really fun;this will be our third year in a row!

When we went to LTT during the Pirates and Princess Party, we had an ADR for 7:30, and the CM told us that we had to have the tickets in order to attend dinner at LTT that night. Could you schedule an earlier dinner? Or, attend the MNSSHP? :earsboy:

Everytime I have booked an ADR for an evening when there is a hard ticketed event, Disney Dining has told me that, if my seating is past park closing for the general public, I will have to show my party ticket or wristband in order to be seated at the restaurant.
Perhaps the Disney Dining CM assumed the OP knew this, or just plain forgot to mention it? I would call back and make sure. Would hate to have you waste a day on a park hopper to enter MK just to eat at LTT and then be told you weren't allowed to eat there because technically the park is closed to you because you do not have a party ticket.

IF you call Disney Dining - you get their call center - which has a standard policy answer...

I thought there were numerous posts that if you dont have a wrist band you wont be able to ride or get candy - but Disney is not closing the park - Disney wants you to shop in their stores to get your money - (in previous years starting around 6 they closed the rides and coralled party guests to Tomorrowland - while ushering everyone out - they dont do that anymore - or are they doing it this year?)

There are no adrs to be had, you cant change adrs (I've tried) I would just head to the restaurant sometime while at MK - in that area and ask if they would seat us w/o a wrist band - or check in at 7pm -

Disney will close the park at 7pm to all guests who do not have a ticket to the party. They basically escort everyone out without a wristband. As far as shopping goes, don't count on it. In August for the P&PP they were checking our bracelets to go into the stores also because they put out special merchandise and you are not able to purchase without a wristband. They were even asking those of us waiting for the parade to show our bands. They seem to be really cracking down on party crashers ;)

We have a 5:45 ADR at Cindy's Royal Table on a MNSSHP night, I didn't even think about it when I booked, and we're actually going to the party the next night.

5:45 wouldn't be a issue would it?
That's the one ADR DD is really looking forward too, I'd hate to not be able to attend.
