Lego Universe Monthly Subscription Fee

DS loves Lego Universe game--unfortunately his first month subscription is almost up. How do the monthly fees work? Are there any promo codes or special deals or discounts available for monthly subscription? Seems like it will get very expensive!!

To my knowledge, there has yet to be any promo codes for the subscription...

But some day I'm sure they'll come. As of now, though, it's strictly $10/mo., unless you go for the year's subscription... ($7.50/mo., paid once in bulk.)

That is what I feared! The price for the game itself has been cut--hoping the monthly fees will be too.
