We awoke to the sound of our DD throwing up. I thought, "No Magic Kingdom for us today!". As I got up I felt a little unsteady myself. We stuck around the room until about 9:00 at which time both our DD and I felt good enough to try and go out. We decided to wait and go to the MK on the next day and do something less strenuous today.

We went back to AK since we had not been all over the whole park. Both our DS and DD wanted to meet some characters so we headed over to Camp Minnie-Mickey. Our first stop was Goofy and Pluto. Goofy made such a big deal out of our DS wearing a Goofy hat. Our DS had him sign it and got Pluto to do so also. Once our DS started getting autographs on his hat, he began getting a lot of admiring looks from other kids and actually had one ask where he had bought the hat with all of the autographs on it.

Next, we got in line for Winnie the Pooh and Eeyore. Eeyore's signature is real cute! Minnie and Mickey in their safari suit were last. They were fun and all the characters in this area really interacted with the kids. It was worth the small wait in each line.

The Festival of the Lion King was due to begin soon. We got in line just in time to get in on the last section. This show is great! I have really been impressed with some of the newer shows I saw at WDW.

After leaving the Lion King show we went on back to the room. The Colors of the Wind had just started and we didn't want to wait for the next one.

We ate a light lunch in our room. Did we dare go to a water park? Yes, our kids replied. Our DD felt just fine by then but I was still under the weather. I would rather have stayed in the room and rested but gamely headed off with the rest to Typhoon Lagoon.

We had never been to TL before. We found some chairs near the wave pool. I found out later how lucky we were to have even been able to get near it at that time of day. The kids took off vowing to check in every now and then while my DH and I veged out in the shade. Our DD loved Castaway Creek while our DS liked the surf pool. He thought snorkeling with the sharks pretty awesome too.

After we had been there awhile, I began to feel better and decided to take a walk around. I would like to come back to this place another time.

We thought to leave before the park closed but was unable to round up the kids in time. Waiting for a bus was the longest wait of the whole week. Bus after bus went by for other resorts. Finally a bus showed up but it was so full, only about five people were allowed to board.

Twenty minutes later, two empty buses showed up. We ran back to the second bus and was able to get a seat. Our almost full bus then went by BB and picked up some more people before dropping us off. BB must have had the same problem also.

We got something to eat and decided to have an early night since tomorrow was EE day at MK and we wanted to take advantage of it.

Oh that's so sad to be sick at WDW. I'm glad your dd got to feeling better. I hope you do too.

Was the water cold? We were there in February and it was brrrrrr cold.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us.

No, the water was just fine. I didn't go swimming but I did wade through a few shallow places.

Here's hoping the next day everyone is well and ready to go. Thanks for posting!
