My DH doesn't listen to the Podcast (yes, I remain married to him despite that) but I have threatened him with bodily harm to his car (gotta hit him where it hurts) if he doesn't listen to last week's email show. I absolutely love :lovestruc your idea for the caller, Philip, to write an amazing letter to his wife for their fifth anniversary and have a restaurant CM help present it to her. Love that idea!!!

We just recently celebrated our ninth wedding anniversary and it passed by like any other day (typical for us for anniversaries, birthdays, Valentines' Day, etc.) so if my hubby were to do this he'd probably have to have smelling salts nearby to revive me after I passed out. We'll be in WDW at my birthday time in December so I hope he takes the not-so-subtle hint that I would really love something like that.

Hats off for a wonderfully romantic and thoughtful idea!!!! :thumbsup2

Could not agree more. Really an inspired and truly thoughtful idea. I'd be in tears...of course it does not take much :)

I thought it was a great idea too.... I couldn't imagine how special I would feel if that happened to me.

The awwwwwwwww factor during that podcast was evident as I was listening to it walking home from church...

    Kevin's suggestion was brilliant. :thumbsup2

But I do have a problem with his idea....

Us guys have to live up to it. And we look like swine if we don't follow Kevin's idea. :rotfl2:

Great idea and it just shows you a good idea does not have to cost alot of money.

    Very inspired.

    Dan

Kevin I have to agree that is a fantastic idea. Now I have to let you give my husband a few lessons. :sad2: I would faint if he did something like that. He just says "Book a trip to Disney for our anniversary" so that I can live with too. ;) It gaurantees me a yearly trip.

It was a brilliant idea, Kevin, and very romantic.

I'm probably going to get in a lot of trouble, but here goes.....

I think it's wrong that Kevin's suggestion just puts pressure on the husbands. It's the husband's anniversary too.

Anniversaries and things like Valentine's Day should be celebrated by both partners in a relationship - or not at all.

In the early years of our marriage we celebrated our anniversary by buying something we both wanted/needed for the house.

I will admit that we celebrated our 25th on our first Disney cruise. I definitely like that better, but until we hit the lottery.......

True. But when one person does think of things like cards, cologne, etc. for anniversaries/birthdays and the other "forgets the card at the office" a gently nudge or planting of an idea is warranted. ;)

It's true that it is the husband's anniversary too. And if he does like Kevin suggested  , his wife might just be open to some suggestions from her husband later

I totally agree....but it was a husband asking about something for his wife.

I'm sorry. I heard the podcast where he asked the question, so I did know it was a husband asking. I guess some of the responses just hit a nerve with me. Now I just have to put my money where my mouth (fingers?) is/are and sit down and write a letter to my DH.

Thanks for everything you do, Kevin.

    Kathy
