** Kat & Pauls Wishes Wedding 3.8.11 WG/AG/DP @ UK Lochside **

Yeah I'm impatient about people booking too. My RSVP date was on Monday, and we haven't had many people let us know. I don't want to chase people either, if they can't let us know, then they're not coming! Simple as that

I'd like the tickets to be available already too, with the AU$ being so good everyone wants everything paid for now, so most of them are looking into just buying tickets elsewhere.

Yeah I agree! I've got a few more weeks to hear from a few more people so we'll see what happens! I've offered my MOH our room in my families villa whilst we are at AKV. So that added to the 2 nights my parents have given everyone at BCV thats 4 nights she doesn't have to pay for so hopefully she'll say yes!!

Some of my guests have started buying tickets elsewhere too. To be honest I can't believe they didn't have 2011 on the site when I first got it in May...they had 2009 though?! Bizzare!

I feel your pain!!! I would be going out of my mind if my guests had not booked yet. Luckily for me, my VR is quite small and I only have fourteen guests and all the flights and accomodations (plus DDP and tickets) are all booked. Balances need to be paid for accommodation packages in March but all the flights for everybody are all paid. It is a relief!!! I hope all your's are sorted soon!!

I have to say I'm super jealous that all your guests have booked! Mine are driving me insane! I really think they are going to wait till December 1st (the deadline) to tell me if they are coming or not...I just couldn't do that to someone! Ho hum...21 days until I get my final answers!

So while I anxiously wait to hear if my final 5 will be joining us at the wedding or not I thought I'd show you a picture of the dress we're (hopefully) getting my MOH! I don't have a picture of her wearing it as I found it at Davids Bridal when I was away in April and she wasn't with us but here's the link to it...

http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product...-83312_Bridal-Party-Bridesmaids-Shop-By-Color

It won't be in this colour though...it will be in cornflower blue.

We did have a look at some shops in the UK for a dress but this one is perfect so we gave up looking over here and have decided to wait until we fly over in March to get it (nothing like leaving it till the last minute eh?!)

Just a quick post today...I had my hair trial last week (I'd of posted sooner but I was waiting for pictures from my Mum)

It went really well and I'm super happy with it!

Here's some pics (none from the front although I know my mum took some...I'll have to ask her...maybe they just looked too terrible to post?! :rotfl:)

My fringe was just loose in the pictures but I've decied I'm actually going to have it clipped to the side so I don't spend my whole time flicking it out of my face!!

I have got accessories but as DF reads this sometimes I didnt want to post those pics as he doesn't want to see them! (maybe that's why mum didn't send me any from the front?!)

I'm off work sick...again...and I've not got too much to post about but I did think I'd let you all know that our friend Jay (who we've been waiting to hear from about if he can get the time off work or not) got the time off! YAY! So both he and his GF Jo will be joining us for the wedding!

We found out Thursday and were told the same day that our photographer and BM were going out Saturday to book their flights! Unfortunately that didn't happen as our BM didn't turn up/had other plans (not really sure which) but either way he wasn't there so they couldn't book! Our photographer is looking at hostels/cheap hotels to stay at (not really my cup of tea but each to their own!) so hopefully he'll book soon! I'm seeing my MOH on Wednesday so hopefully I'll get some good news from her too!! I can't wait for the wedding but I have to say I also can't wait for all this drama with guests flights to be over with too!!

Yay! I found out one of my friends that I wasn't even expecting to come is coming! It's good because it's a friend, unlike random 2nd and 3rd cousins :confused3:laughing:

Oh yay!! That's so great! :goodvibes How great is it when you get happy surprises like that! It's an added bonus of getting married abroad...I've got no 2nd or 3rd cousins coming to the wedding. Just people I really care about and that I really want there!

I am soooo excited because I've just arranged DF's wedding present! :goodvibes I so wish I could tell you all what it is but DF reads this so I have to keep quiet! Not an easy thing for me to do! So to stop my blabbing about his surprise I thought I'd let you know about the places we're thinking of eating whilst we are away! (I am so hungry already...this isn't going to help but here we go anyway!)

We don't normally eat at Disney as we don't often stay on property. We're big fans of Perkins, Bob Evans, Applebees, Bahama Breeze, Long Horn etc We just dont have places like them over here! So DF and I thought we should make our Disneymoon special and do things/eat at places we wouldn't normally do!

We know we are definitely eating at California Grill on 19th March (it's my birthday and we are staying at the Contemporary that night) but we'd also like to do the Fantasmic dinner package and eat at The Hollywood Brown Derby...has anyone eaten there before? It sounds really nice and DF loves Fantasmic! He also wants to go to eat at the Coral Reef restuarant at Epcot. I really really want to go to Le Cellier. I've heard such great things about it but I'm not sure we can fit it in! :confused3 We are eating at Jiko after the safari when we stay at AKL and again I've heard lots of good things so I'm really looking forward to that! One other place Id really like to eat is the 50s Prime Time Diner at Hollywood Studios...I've not eaten there before and it just looks great!!

Ok, I'm starving now! I really want pizza but I've only got 6p in the account and that's not going to go far! Hmm...DF just got home from work...lets see what he says!!

Whenever I think about Disney restaurants I head over to that section of the Dis and check out the food porn, it doesn't stop me from being hungry, but I can't get enough of it!

I have done the 'Dine with an Imagineer' at the the Hollywood Brown Derby and the food was amazing!!! It was about three years ago though. I also love the Coral Reef!! It is DS's favourite. He is ten and when we eat there, he spends the whole meal up and down to the fish tanks!!! Two years ago, we ate there on his birthday and arranged for a diver in one of the tanks to hold up a message saying 'Happy Birthday Alfie'. He was so thrilled and still talks about it to this day!!

ooo what a good idea!! I'll have to head over myself and have a look! :goodvibes

I did look at that actually...it sounded great! And it's not everyday you get to dine with an imagineer!! I'm afraid that's what DF will do if I take him to the Coral Reef! :rotfl: I love the diver idea!! That's so great!!

My MOH came round for dinner last night. I don't think anyone really wanted to bring up the whole flight situation but it didn't take long for it to pop up!

There we were eating our sausage and mash (yum) and joking around and MOH says to DF 'have you got the dishwasher yet?' (long running joke) and DF says 'booked your flight yet?' Well that certainly broke the ice! MOH's ex BF is lending her the money for her flight (I think I mentioned that before?) only problem is...he can't give it to her until January!! :scared1: So basically she can't book her flight until end of January/beginning of February! I'm not too sure how I feel about this. We can only make changes upto 30 days before the wedding. It doesn't leave me a lot of time. And what if the ex decides he can't give her the money?! :confused3

On a happier note. Our friends Jay and Jo got their Tescos vouchers to pay for the flights (Tescos is a supermarket...you get points when you shop there and you can use the points for all sorts of things! They are using them to pay for flights!) So they will be booking soon so that's great! :thumbsup2 Still waiting on BM and photographer but hopefully with our friends booking it'll give the other 2 a kick up the bum!

Kat sweetie - I am so sorry you are having all this hassle with your guests and their flights!!! I think you are handling it soooooo well!!! I would be turning in to a Bridezilla right about now!!!

I'm trying not to be too bridezillaish but you should see me at work! I don't know how the girls haven't kiiled me yet!! :rotfl: I also don't know why it all comes out at work as I'm not that bad at home...I don't think?! I've heard the boys are booking this week...we shall see!!

Hi Kat, I am just joining in, and I love your ideas! The scroll invites are beautiful and so fairy tale!! I am so glad that you were able to find THE dress! I have a thing for gazebos, so I am excited to hear that you chose to get married there, it is just so charming! I am still catching up on everything, but so far I  everything! Under the sea is an awesome theme!!

Hiya! It's always nice to have new people join in!! And thank you so much! I love the gazebo at WDW so there was nowhere else for me to get married! It had to be there! :goodvibes We just kind of stumbled into the under the sea theme but I'm totally loving it and just can't wait to see it all together!!

Sending pixiedust so that all your guests get booked!!!pixiedust::tink:
Aww thank you so much tinkerbell! I think it may be working...fingers crossed and keep that pixie dust coming! I may have some good news tomorrow!! :goodvibes

Just a little update today to show you some of my purchases over the last few days! I got DF a little pressie. I mentioned previously that his dad passed away earlier in the year not long after booking their trip to Florida. I wanted to get DF something special to help keep his dad close on our wedding day. He's already planning on wearing the father of the groom cufflinks that he got for his dad but never actually got to give to him and then I got him this...

memorialframe.jpg

I got it from Etsy which I have become totally addicted to!! It was such a bargain I couldn't not buy it!! ;) It says in the description that it's for the brides bouquet but it's got a handy little safety pin on it which means DF can pin it inside his jacket and have his dad close to him on our special day. I was going to give it to him at Christmas but I just couldn't wait so I gave it to him the minute I got it!! :rotfl:He loved it and is now on the hunt to find the perfect picture of his dad to put in it!

I also got myself a little something from Etsy...

garter.jpg

Obviously it'll have our names and our wedding date on it though!!

My MOH got me a garter a while back. I was never planning on having one but both my MOH and DF said I had to (but I am NOT doing the whole toss the garter thing...I find it bizzare!!) Anyway, the garter she got me was really nice, but a bit too small...I'm afraid I got the short end of the stick when I was born and where my sister got the nice long legs I got the short fat ones! :rotfl: So I got this garter from Etsy and I'm having it made to fit me!

The next thing I'm hoping to get is one of those lovely hangers that I see everyone on here getting! Infact, I'm off to hunt for it now!!
