Check out the eTicket App FAQs page at http://www.eticketapp.com/faqs/. The first question. You are just missing one small step! :thumbsup2

This is most helpful! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I guess I'll need to kick my Facebook habit for a couple of weeks. :lmao:

Any free wifi spots in WDW itself?

I just use e-ticket from this site, love it. Before just came on DIS forums during day whilst computer was on but now use it any time on iPod touch as so much more convenient and tailored for this screen.

I actually don't think the DIS looks too bad through Safari so haven't gone for eTicket yet.

Maybe if WDW had blanket wifi then it'd be worth it but for just a mobile DIS it's not (for us UK DISer's I mean) - come on Steve Jobs, aren't you Disney highest single share holder as well as owning Apple? Make it so :)

Its arrived!!! I am having so much fun with it already. Thanks for all the advice. I got eticket, wdw dining and mouse memos. That will do me for now - might just download a few free games :cool1:

Ok here's one of the best kept 'secrets' for the iPhone, tho not Disney related:

http://iphone.tvcatchup.com/#

go to that on your iPhones safari browser and you can watch live tv even over 3g, it's sheer awesomeness and it's free!!

Just be careful with how much you watch over 3G. As you dont want to get stung with a massive data bill. Because even though most iPhone contracts say unlimited they are restricted.

iPhone contracts

O2 - No listed amount but it is rumored it is 3gb (but constant video streaming is no-no per there T&C)

Orange - 750mb

Vodafone - 1GB

Tesco - Not sure

O2 will warn you if you are abusing the service not sure on the others.

However if you are streaming over your own wifi no problems.

Another couple of good apps/links is

BBC iplayer

(no actual app yet) but got to bbc iplayer website in safari and it is a iPhone enhanced version . Just book mark the page to the "desktop" and it sets a proper app icon for direct link to site.

SKY SPORTS - Mobile TV

If you are on O2 you can get if free (For 3 months)
http://shop.o2.co.uk/update/skyoffer.html
After that it is £6 a month bargin really. (Includes ESPN)

I have got an iPhone but on a O2 Simplicity contract and use between 500mb and 750mb a month. (Dont do any streaming over 3G)

Also if your iPhone is an O2 iPhone you can unlocked it for free

O2's unlimited seems to be pretty good tho as I'm always on the Internet and streaming over 3g and have never been hit over my tariff :)

:goodvibes

I'm with O2 and only used free wifi as the data charges would have been crippling.
Would be interested if anyone used their iphone too while in Orlando :goodvibes

Are you aware that O2 will now unlock your iphone for free
Sim free may be a better option for USA, but not sure what sim/data deals are available :thumbsup2

EDIT...Oooops........didn't read earlier post :rolleyes1

You can get pre paid data bundles from o2 on the site.
Data Abroad 10 £20 10MB At standard rates
Data Abroad 50 £50 50MB At standard rates

Additionally if you are out of contract you can get an specific iPhone Simplicity Plan for £20 per month and pick two bolt-ons, web and wifi. It is exactly the same as the standard £35 pm contract inc Visual Voicemail

You wont find it on the o2 site though, phone from your iPhone and ask for Retentions Department.

Hi,
Does anyone know if sending picture messages from the US counts as 4 (or more) messages from the monthly allowance? What's the best way to check the remaining monthly allowance whilst over there? Does sending a text to 21202 work - and is there a cost for this? I presume calls are charged on top of the minutes allowance - does anyone know the rate?
It's a shame there aren't more places in WDW itself that offer wi-fi - I wonder if the McDonalds does at DTD?

Thanks for any help!
BigThunder

Normal text messages 'cost' four from your allowance, MMS will not as they need a data connection :)
