We just returned from a short trip we had 3 full days in the parks. It was just a quick trip before our longer trip in December....we love WDW and go 2-3 times a year. This trip for some reason, we saw the rudest and most disgusting behavior we have ever seen in all our years of going to WDW. We were not looking for it, but it was so blatant we were shocked.

Our first day we went to the MK and our first ride BTMRR. As we were walking up to the ride a woman and her 4 small children were just stopped in the walkway leading up to the ride. The reason: the woman stopped her family of small children to let her son pee up against the rocks right there in the line. I said something to her but she did not stop. So disgusting we could not believe it. The little boy was about 5. What kind of person does this? I would have told a CM but there was none to be found.

We then went to lunch at Pecos Bills. As we were leaving the "fixins' bar" a woman ran and pushed in front of me to get to the shreaded lettuce. She reached in with her hands and scooped up a soccer ball size of lettuce and ran off to her table....no plate no tray and no tongs....her filthy hands.

We stayed in the CR for the first time. Every evening we saw the same thing in the elevators - people trying to get up to the CG to see the fireworks. I would see people pressing the "15" button and I would say "are you trying to get to the CG? They would say yes and I would tell them they have to check in on the second floor and they will let you up from there. One loud mouthed woman with her three kids and husband bounded on to the elevator. She was pounding the button for the 15th floor and a woman next to me did the same...you have to check in on the second floor. She started screaming at this woman "Don't tell me I can't go up there, I got up there from the 9th floor" She was pounding the button and carrying on like a lunatic on a very crowded elevator. She got off on the 12th floor where she did not belong and still yelling. It was 15 minutes before the fireworks so I guess she was frantic.

The people walking around with lit cigarettes is really getting out of control....they were everywhere and not caring one bit. I saw a CM notice a couple smoking and looked like he wanted to say something to them but was too timid to do so. Children on Heelys were everywhere (not to open a can of worms) but they are not permitted in the parks and nobody says anything. People are wheeling and smoking and peeing and it all seems OK. I can understand the kids on heelys because it is not widely noted like the NO smoking policy is. The smoking around the parks really bothers me as there are many sensitive people.

Honestly, between the swarms of love bugs everywhere and the rude people I have to say this was the first time we were glad to go home.

That's too bad about the smokers. I hate that too,and wish that CM's would enforce that more often.

That is so disgusting - what is wrong with people!

I was once standing in a line waiting to get on an Aladdin ride and a woman whipped out an empty water bottle so her son could go pee-pee in that.

What was she gonna do with it after :(

It's amazing how people can ignore the rules. I'm sure the boy who relieved himself in line had a Mother or Father who didn't want to leave the queue and go to the back of the line after, or maybe they were just in a hurry. Hey! kids are people too, and when they have to go to the bathroom a parent has to be responsible enough to say let's go and bite the bullet. That's part of being a parent. If you don't want to be a parent don't have children. Sounds like pure laziness to me.

Sorry, but that just floors me.

I am so glad that we did not see any type of this behavior when we were recently there.

It is a shame the way our children our being raised now a days. We as the parents have the responsbility to teach our children manners, morals, values etc and yet for some it is not being done.

To have the gull to have your kid pee in public when there are many restrooms is totally disguesting. What is sad, however, is for another adult to have to tell another adult. Makes you wonder what our world is coming too.

Yuuuuckkkk!!

I don't get it....what's so hard about saying to your kids "we're getting in a long line, do you have to potty" or even better "we're getting in a long line, go potty before we get in".

I won't eat off the fixin bar just because I saw that happen with lettuce more then once. People just don't think.

I don't have any experience with the elevator situation but it doesn't surprise me people act that way.

If everyone just tried to pass the magic on to other guests instead of thinking the parks are there for just their pleasure....think of how pleasant it would be for everyone!

I don't understand how some people think such behavior is perfectly acceptable. I realize that its not just happening in WDW but everywhere and if you have the guts to say something to someone so rude all you get is a mouth full of fowl language and attitude. And what really gets me going is that most of the time the shocking behavior comes from the so-called adults! So wonder their kids run a muck! :confused3

WOW!!!!!!!!!! This is the worst trip report I've ever read!!!!!!! I'm so sorry your trip was affected by the insensitive behavior of some rude guests. Of the millions of people who visit WDW every year there is bound to be some bad apples who ignore rules and lack just plain common sense. It would seem you had more than your share this trip! I know your next visit will be better :sunny:

Thats horrible, if I saw someone doing that I may try and get them kicked out and I normally wouldn't do somehting like that, but letting your kids pee in public is about as bad as it gets. I would think Dis could get in trouble for that too with the health dept etc. I hope they take measures to prevent that, that's disgusting. And I would have def said something to the pig that put her hand in the salad as well, what a LOSER!!!!!!!!

Trash I tell you.. To bad they let anyone in the parks that have a ticket. They need to say something to people walking around smoking, how hard is it to go by the rules and smoke in certin places. I hope I don't see this kind of behavior when we go..

Not that the other stuff is ok, but the thing that gets me the most is the smoking. Whole cities have gone non-smoking in public...DW needs to take a lead!

I forgot to add...BTMRR was walk on that day. So if she took the little boy to the bathroom, she would still be able to walk right on to the ride. It was just pure laziness and filth....what a pig.

People complain over and over that the parks aren't as clean as they used to be. After reading this, I don't think an army of maintenance people could keep up with this type of behavior! :scared1: It's sad when people don't care enough to be respectful of their surroundings. I don't care how much "they" paid, the price of admission does not include being able to pee wherever you want!

We saw some shockers too, when we were there in August. Heelies too, for one. Although we saw 2 cm's at Epcot say something...the kids were racing over the bridge from UK to France, really zipping around the pedestrians. Of course, the CMs took Cr*p from the adults with the kids, for daring to make them remove the wheels. Apparently the parents didn't have the plugs with them and said that the instructions say you have to wear the plugs when the wheels are out??? Of course, the witty cm came back with "I have a pair and the instructions do say that, but they also say that these are SKATES, and should not be worn around pedestrians, and should be worn with knee pads, elbow pads, etc."

We didn't see any peeing, thank goodness. We DID see someone get really into a nice CMs face at Cindy's Carousel. He didn't want to have to watch
his family from behind the fence or behind the chain. I mean he got BAD. He even crowded into the CMs face. My dh and kids were caught right there against the fence, and dh said he thought he was going to have to jump in and protect the much -smaller, much-younger cm. The guy finally took off, still swearing and yelling nasty things about the cm specifically and WDW in general, with a woman and young boy. Security had been called I guess, because a manager and security people began questioning the CM, and dh gave them a description -- they were going to find the guy. DH also talked to 2 managers to let them know how well the CM handled it all. He kept calm, yet firm, and stayed between the guy and the kids trying to exit the ride.

About smoking, I saw quite a few smokers holding their lit cigarettes kinda hidden (you know, down by their side, right at kid-face level. :confused3 We did see a CM come and make someone put hers out or take it to a smoking area, she was standing at Goofys Barnstormer waiting fr people and puffing away. I approached the cm afterward and thanked him.

Yup, there is unmagical behavior pretty much anywhere, even WDW. Don't even get me started on how rude people were in the Pop Food Court ridiculously-long lines!!

I read this post and this is my take on it:

1. The loud mouthed lady is something I wouldn't want to run into either but it is tolerable I suppose. I just try and let that kind of thing go unless that person were to get in my face.

2. The urinating in public is horrid.......unthinkable! My opinion: no one with dignity or class would allow this to happen. I would rather my child pee his pants first than whip it out in open public.

3. The touching of food in buffet: this is gross also.....once again people with no manners and what can you do. I try to avoid the condiments bar whereever I go..not just Disney fearful of this type of thing happening.

4. The smoking issue: I am a smoker. However, I have followed Disney rules and only smoke at designated spots when I feel I have to. I actually don't like my smoking to slow down getting things done at the park so I juset go very little. I would not smoke while walking but have seen people do this and this is wrong. I don't even like when I smell it walking along and I smoke so I'm sorry to see this isn't inforced more. I did see a CM do this one time to someone at MGM but that is it. I do not agree in making the whole park smoke free as long as sticking to designated areas is followed. I don't want to be penalized for another person's bad behavior and lack of respect for rules. I am hoping to quit smoking after my trip as a last hurrah but until that day is here, please do not think badly of us rule abiding smokers.

Wow. :crazy2: I guess this puts a new spin on the whole "is it OK to take a little kid our of line for a potty run and come back?" debate.
