Just back from Wilderness Lodge

We have stayed at the WL three times in the past year. We had our room clean when we returned to it in the early afternoon on two of our three trips. On our December trip we often found that housekeeping hadn't been there yet. But the housekeeper was wonderful about it, promising to have it clean first thing the next day. She even left us a cute towel animal. The one thing that all three trips had in common was how wonderful the housekeeping staff were and how clean the rooms were. They have recently been refurbed and we really liked them. :)

Since the rooms at the WL are significantly cheaper than the rooms at CR, the smaller room size is understandable.

This seems to be a common refrain on DIS today. I think WDW has cut service to the point where guests can't deny it anymore. There is certainly something going on.

I agree. We're really debating whether we should just go ahead and buy points at VGF because Disney's regular deluxe rooms no longer feel so deluxe (and the prices won't stop climbing). At least with DVC you don't have to deal with housekeeping (for the first few nights) and you're not fooling yourself into thinking you'll actually receive luxury accommodations and treatment.
