Just back from the Boardwalk Inn Club Level

Hi DISers I just wanted to give a mini-report about our wonderful stay at the BWI CL last week. We arrived at the Boardwalk via Magical Express and a castmember took us straight up to the Inkeeper's Club to check-in. I had done online check-in so the process was extremely fast and within just a couple of minutes we were in the lounge having breakfast. By this time it was around 10:00 AM so we found the lounge to be almost empty.

I wasn't super hungry because we grabbed food at the airport, but we did have a few of the offerings since they were still serving:

We didn't wait there long before being notified that our room was ready. It was just down from the lounge a bit, room #4227

As soon as we walked through the door we knew we had been given a fantastic and magical upgrade to a deluxe room!

We had two TV armoires:

We found the lounge snacks and appetizers to be FANTASTIC! The lounge castmembers were vigilant with refilling the food continuously.

We were also given large glass bottles of Evian anytime that we asked a castmember for water. We like keeping those in our room fridge.

The staff in the lounge went above and beyond to welcome us and make us feel at home. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at the BWI on CL again after this amazing stay and look forward to going back again soon. I found the offerings exceeded my expectations and I see no signs of downgrading present in the lounge or the club level amenities or services. TWO THUMBS UP!!!!!

Also just one more tidbit of info. On our last day in Florida my youngest son and I decided to stay longer since my husband and oldest son had to go home. I called Disney and was able to find a room at Coronado Springs with my AP rate last minute. We immediately went there, checked in, and our room was ready. This was my first time staying at Coronado and I was very pleased with the resort. Our room was in Casitas 3 (room #3313) which was very close to El Centro and the Pepper Market. We also easily parked our rental car close to our room. We spent 6 additional nights there and had a fantastic stay. The presence of convention folks didn't bother me at all. We loved having room service and found it to be very quick. Food in the Pepper Market was good as well as quick stuff we got at Cafe Rix. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at Coronado again when I'm in the need of a moderate resort.

The offerings all look great! My only complaint I see which they haven't changed is the soda floating in lukewarm water. They need a fridge badly! Other than lack of seating, that was my only complaint when we stayed there in 2011.

According to a CM I spoke with the general manager of the BWI was not happy with the renovations and they are in the process of hiring a new contractor to start over again. I told her I hoped a fridge in the lounge would come this next time around!!!!

Wow - great pictures! Awesome room upgrade too. We haven't tried CL at BWI yet, and seeing your pictures sways me towards trying it. I'm glad you had a great stay and thanks for posting about it.

What a view! I don't think you could ask for a better one in the whole of WDW. I just need a lottery win now, as we are unlikely to ever get upgraded due to our long stays.

Erika...Enjoyed reading your BWI review...The lounge in its entirety looks better than it does in the pics I've seen of smaller sections...still not a fan of the crazy carpet...lol... although it is alot better than the new carpets at the GF... lol...

What a nice upgrade! and beautiful view...and how nice that you for to stay a longer with your son...nothing like that one on one quality time!

I say give it a try! I think it's fun to try different resorts each trip. I still have my personal favorites, but this was a fabulous stay for sure!

Great report and pictures. I'm 66 days away from returning to the Boardwalk Inn Club Level. I'll try not to let the carpet in the lounge ruin my trip.

Thanks for the great pictures and review. We'll be staying in a BWI CL room in just 12 days. I hope we're lucky enough to get a view like yours. I read that they've started renovations on the snack bar at the clown pool. Did you see anything going on while you were there?

TgrLvsPooh-We had to have just missed you. We checked out last Saturday!! I was told by some of the CMs about the contractors too. What a mess and waste of money. Glad you had a good trip. We love it down there and already booked for next year.
