I didn't take any pictures of the NYC merchandise, unfortunately. For our sailing they had all of the NYC-Bahamas stuff, but I also saw pins for NYC-Canada, and NYC 2-night cruises. I'm sure they'll have t-shirts, magnets, etc for those itineraries, too.

Considering that we booked an 11B, this was a great cabin and cabin location for our party of 4 adults.

It's located portside, forward of the Forward Elevators.

Our Cabin Steward was Herri from Indonesia. He did an outstanding job and always had an excellent attitude when we'd see him in the hallway, which was fairly often. lol

We liked this location because it was always a quick elevator ride up to Deck 9 and the adults-only Quiet Cove pool, Cafe, and Spa.

This cabin sleeps 3 people, there is no pulldown bunk. Lots of storage space between the desk, the storage trunk, the cabinets over the TV, and the closet.

I'm sorry if I missed the answer to this but I was wondering how you were able to sleep 4 without a pull down bunk? Did you have 2 rooms? We are booked in an 11b gty on the Wonder with 4 people and I'm curious how it works if we get assigned a room like yours. Thank you for posting the pics of your room. Your pictures were the first that I have seen of the sideways 11b rooms. :)

Thanks for the preview! Are you going to post the actual Personal Navigators in Pdf form to the website?? :)

Hi Seaspray. Was so nice to meet you.

We are just back today, jetlagged and shattered, but had a great stay in New York after the cruise. Didn't manage to do half the things we wanted, a combination of running out of time and aching feet from walking so much!

Anyway, we loved the cruise, it was great. I would love to do a trip report myself, its just finding the time (plus working out how to insert photos!!).

Hi Terry. Sounds like a great time,. Pic so far are great.

Hi Ed! Thanks!! :)

Oh, I can see how that'd be confusing! LOL My DS and his DGF had their own cabin, just 2 doors down from us, that's why I said "good location for us 4 adults". :)

DCL won't put 4 of you into a cabin that only sleeps 3, your cabin will have the pull-down bunk.

Thanks for the preview! Are you going to post the actual Personal Navigators in Pdf form to the website?? :)

We have a new fax/scanner/printer so I might just give it a try and scan the Navigators! :) I'll post here if I'm successful. lol

Jody it was so nice to meet you, too! I love vacations, but most times you do come back a bit tired, don't you! We took a DCL bus excursion around NYC after the cruise and it was great. I grew up about a half hour away from there, but it's always fun to go back as a tourist, too. I'm glad that you enjoyed the city. :)

Terry, we were at brunch when you were there. My husband said "Why is that woman taking pictures of all the food?" and when I looked, I saw that it was you, so I laughed and said, "Oh, that's a woman from the Disboards. That's what we do." :rotfl:

Too funny!!!

How did you like brunch this time?

After dining there many times for dinner, brunch, and tea, brunch is now officially my favorite meal at Palo! ::yes:: I still love dinner there, but if I had to choose a favorite, brunch it is!

Thanks!

:rotfl2: love it... Don't need lime green to find the Disers... Just look for folks taking food porn pix!

Seaspray, thanks for the trip report! I'm living vicariously through yours and others until next month.

We were on the last cruise out of Port Canaveral before the Magic's trip to NY. There was a special preview of the "Dream Goes On" and they announced that it was a new show for the New York voyages. Unfortunately, they had the preview at 3:00 in the afternoon and we spent too much time at Senor Frogs having a few drinks so we missed it!

Thanks for posting anyway. As long as we know it is a new show we will look forward to seeing it. I will google preview to see if anything comes up.

Another DISer, NJGirl, saw it and posted it about a few pages back. Here's what she said:

I saw it. It was movie and old clips interspersed with songs/dancing from the theater cast- songs from his movies, songs from attractions and the theme parks, etc. It was not all a movie. With narration from the theater cast, it went thru walt's life adn acheivements and legacy in clips, song and dance

DS's DGF went all out in a very cute pirate outfit! She looks great in all of the pictures. pirate:

DS, DH, and I wore pirate t-shirts, bandanas, and eye patches.

A lot of other guests were dressed in pirate outfits, a lot wore pirate t-shirts, and there were a few who wore "cruise casual" clothing. Nobody looked out of place that night, the choice is really up to you. And have fun! :sunny:

Like Mom2Princesses said, you can make requests and you won't know if they were able to make them happen until you check in at the port.

Having said that, these were the dining requests that we asked our TA to make for us:

Table for 4 (for just our party of 4)
We requested to be in Lumiere's for formal night.

We got BOTH of our requests met, and our dining rotation also put us into Parrot Cay for pirate night. We had late dining, and our table was near the center of each dining room. We table #68 and I liked this location. On our previous cruises we were more in the back right side of the dining rooms.

:thumbsup2 So awesome for you guys!!

:thumbsup2 So awesome for you guys!!

Thanks! :) The request for a table for 4 was our priority; a couple of us don't care to dine with strangers every night. It's nothing personal against other cruisers because everyone we've met on a cruise have been great, it has more to do with us wanting to be with just our family due to various other reasons.

When anyone has more than 1 request, always list your most desired request first, in case they can't meet them all. That's a tip I learned here on the DIS. :)

I've been working more on my web site, so there are some new pics up, if anyone is interested. :)

One more question - I have main dining - will I miss the Statue of Liberty? and can I get to dinner late if so?

Not sure if anyone answered this question...but the exact time was around 5:25 PM. I only remembered to look at my watch b/c someone else on another board asked us to look!

We also had reservations for the early dinner and had no problem getting to our table on time. However, we did dress for dinner ahead of time. It didn't seem like they cared about the dress code on the first night, b/c most people hadn't had the time to unpack, etc. and just went to dinner in what they had on.

Did you wait until the ship went under the VNB before heading to dinner too?? was wondering about the timing of that as well.
