Hello,

We returned from 8 nights at the GF SL. Our room faced the courtyard pool and was a dormer on the 4th floor. We are 2 adults and 1 5 y/o child- it fit us well. I preferred the 4th floor- less strollers and small children and noise. This not being a super busy time, the lounge was moderately busy, food was plentiful and fresh. Good offerings- seemed to revolve around a theme-chicken, pork, seafood etc. yes there were veg offerings. Plenty of beer and wine. At times it would seem there was less food, but only because the CMs were taking the bowls and platters away to replenish. No big lines. I prefer the SL buidling, it was nice coming back to a quieter building. The CMs in the concierge lobby of SL were hit or miss for assitance but most of the time they were helpful. The CMs handling the lounge food were all wonderful, smiling and pleasant. Anything you needed they would help you out. This was our 1st time at GF and CL. We have stayed at many other Disney properties and will come back again to the GF CL. CL is nice, escorted off the bus, someone waiting to meet you and straight to your room, you do all the check in stuff in the room:banana: Pools were great, we rented an all day cabana- HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We ate at Citricos and Narcoosees. Great food at both, not great service at Narcoosees, Citricos- Stephanie was superb! Gasparilla grill no complaints, good choices and food. short waits for buses coming/going. For those who think it will be stuffy. NO WAY! Everyone was walking around dressed and behaving as it suited them. Many Europeans and others during our stay so their idea of dressing may be more formal- for a lack of a better word. I am a tshirt, capris and shoes kind of person. Never felt out of place. Also for those who don't like the decor- It's Victorian, right in line with Disney theming- think Mary Poppins - Victorian times. The restaurant Victoria and Alberts is named after the great love story between Queen Victoria and Albert. Overall our stay was very good and more than we expected.

Thanks for the report and so glad to here you enjoyed your stay. We also will be staying at SL. It will be our 1st time at the GF.

I wanted to add to our just back message. A few things I forgot. We used the mousekeeter club for one night and it was a great experience. Normally our 5 y/o loves to eat out with us but I think we all needed abreak from each other :cool2: He asked to go to the club and was there for 2 1/2 hours. They have many activities including Wii and other video games. Randi and Nicole were the counselors- both were very nice and you'll see them at the pool activities as well. Also the beach pool with water slide was very fun and many small kids were able to use it. And watching the fireworks and electrical water pageant was a great view from the boat dock at GF. Also we had no problems with our room, it looked like it had recently been painted, everything worked well, nothing was rundown and mousekeeping did a good job. turn down service was fun to see how all the toys and animals were arranged. There is still some construction but we did not find it obtrusive at all. Nice to see how the property is maintained and the fresh white paint makes the buidlings look very nice. Oh and the bath products are H20 SPA- including a body butter and peppermint foot rub :thumbsup2. Plenty of towels and products. Private dining was fast and good.
