Just Back from First Cruise and We've been Bit by the Bug

We got back in yesterday from a 4 day on Disney Magic. We loved it so much that we went ahead and booked another one for next year! We were planning on WDW next year...but I made the comment to my husband that I enjoyed the cruise more than WDW

My DS (1) had a blast, and it was so easy to cater to his needs and naps being a couple floors from our room. When he went to bed early, we watched the shows on our stateroom TV. While he napped, we sat outside on our verandah. It was just perfect for the stage he is in right now. So thankful to all of you for the tips and advice, so I knew what to ask that wouldn't sound crazy!

these years while children are young, time goes by SO FAST!!
Is it the Magic again next year or trying a different ship? We're headed on the Fantasy in July. Whichever you choose, he'll love his time regardless....and one year older to remember even more!! Enjoy!!

Any bugs on Castaway Cay? We leave in a week and hoping they got rid of the sand fleas everyone has been talking about the last couple of weeks!

That bug bite is permanent! The only treatment is to take another cruise

Any bugs on Castaway Cay? We leave in a week and hoping they got rid of the sand fleas everyone has been talking about the last couple of weeks!

We didn't have any problems with this or hear of anyone talking about it. The weather was warm, but the wind made it cool. So we didn't spend a whole lot of time on the beach itself since DS was shivering... and he would eat the sand if we weren't careful

We are doing the Fantasy I believe? It's basically the same 4 day cruise out of Port Canaveral, just a different ship. I really would have loved to have been able to do the Magic again though. Ship size was perfect for us.

Yes, the bugs were there at SB, but not too bad..imo. We brought DEET but didn't use it.

We were hoping the Magic was doing a 4 night out of PC, but it will be the Dream Feb of 2015. Looking to book a Cat. T, but could not do it on board.

Whew!! First time I read your title, I thought you were going to say you got sick/stomach bug. So glad I read it wrong. We too our hooked. Our first was Alaska that May and we did OBB. We decided to move it up from end of the year to April. I am planning to do OBB again!! My kids keep asking to go, its going to be a surprise!

LOL, same thing happened to us! Got bit by that same cruise bug! We weren't sure how badly the cruise bug had bitten us while we were still onboard. We were so busy on our 2 day Dream cruise we didn't realize how badly we had been bitten. We were lucky enough to get a 10% discount mailer shortly after we got home and made good use of it! We are now impatiently waiting for Disney to release the 2015 dates so we can move our OBB to 2015!

to cry when we were driving back to airport. Beautiful ship.

We did the Wonder last year and will do the Fantasy Jan/2015. Will have
to try the Magic sometime.

Disney sure knows how to do cruises and after fretting about the cost it was
worth EVERY PENNY!

The cost is the hardest part, but after having done the Carnival before this and having enough of it after our last experience, it is well worth it for us. I guess they have to make up the cost of not having a casino on board?? There also seems to be sooo many crew members. I know other cruise lines have a lot, but they are on top of it on Disney.

We too have been bitten by the same bug! We planned on alternating WDW/DCL yearly. Then we did WDW with no cruise this year and while we had a good time; DW, DD's, and I kept saying how much we missed DCL and wished we were on one. Cannot wait for this December to try out the new re-imagined Magic!
