Thanks again everyone for reading!!! You guys are awesome!!
This really is one of out favorite places to dine in WDW. Just something about the atmosphere and the wait staff that really make it such a happy place. We had visited CMC back in December 2009 and had a great meal which included the crab legs....they were delicious as was everything else.
Our ADR on this trip was at 6:10PM and we arrived at about 5:50 PM. I'd say that we were seated within 10 minutes. The hostess led us into the room on the right hand side just after you pass the hostess podium. At first I was kind of bummed that we were put in there away from the action....but it was so nice and quiet in there we were really able to enjoy our meal and take our time. There were only about 8-10 other families in there with us, most were couples or small families of 3-4, no large loud groups. Our server was Wang, and she was just too sweet! She allowed us to take our time, always refilled our water glasses and was quick to remove plates and silver when we left to get another course!
Prior to being seated we were shown the normal location of the desserts as you walk in behind the podium. Also, to the left of the podium there was a new dessert station set up which, on the night we were there, was making these delicious, yummy, scrumptious mini chocolate lava cakes! They were warm and ooey and gooey....ok I am getting ahead of myself here...anywho!!
DH and I decided to order some adult beverages! I chose the Very Berry punch....fruity and refreshing...just what I needed after a day in the parks. DH went with the Pina Colava, I teased him that it was a girly drink but he didn't care and happily drank every last drop!
We had a great meal. I started with the ceasar salad...I love ceasar salad. Theirs is pre-made and by that I mean they add the dressing, cheese, croutons and lettuce and mix it all up for you so that the dressing covers everything! Perfect! Their lettuce is super fresh and crisp, never soggy. I didn't get to snap a pic of DH's salad. He had mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers etc etc and said that everything was crisp and fresh.
For my main I really enjoyed the chicken breast, it was super moist and tender with a great flavor! The mashed potatoes were creamy and tasty as well. The pork loin was very nice also. It wasn't dry as pork can be sometimes...great flavor! I selected a pasta dish tossed with tomatoes and spinach...very good!!
DH went for the chicken, steamers, beef stroganof and mashed potatoes. He was head over heels for that beef stroganof too!! He said it was awesome and even went for seconds on that!! He loved the steamers too! He ate a few plates-full.
Now, here is the part I have been dreading telling you about....as I wrote above when we were here in December the crablegs were great...I was so looking forward to them! After my salad I went up and grabbed a small plate full. I began to crack them with DH's help. The first taste came and.....ewww...saltier than the ocean!!! I was calm I said ok maybe these had cooked at the bottom of the pan where the salt and seasonings had settled. So I waited a while and ate my other selections which were great! I noticed the cooks putting out a fresh pan of 'legs so I skidaddled up there to get some more. Cracked 'em again....first bite....ewwww again. So insanely salty!! So much so that I could just not even stand to eat them and it broke my heart!! Maybe the kitchen was having an off day, maybe someone measured out the seasonings wrong, who knows...at least everything else was great! If you are planning on going to CMC soon please try the crablegs for me and tell me that I was just there on an off night OK??
Onto dessert!!! As I mentioned above they have this great new dessert station where they were making mini chocolate lava cakes. These were so good! The chocolate filling was great!! DH had a few of these!! OK, OK I had 2 as well!!
From the standard dessert buffet area we also had the oreo bon bons (LOVE THOSE!!!) and the mini cupcakes!! Yummy!!!
