Week 1:
Congratulations everyone for signing up! Some have expressed concern that their goal may not be big enough, or they may not reach their goal. Let me just say NONSENSE :earboy2: This challenge is for YOU! We aren't competing against one another, just cheering each other on :cheer2: So do the best you can! I'd like to further challenge each one of us to try at least one new physical activity this month. Maybe take up a dance lesson, tennis anyone? Let's brainstorm some ideas for fun activities to add into our routines.

And we're off!

July 17th: Congrats to the "50% completed" Challengers! We're now in the second half of the month. Time to Crank It Up!!!!!

DS & I will be away 5days camping July 1-5, 7days NH July 21-27 and 2days (taking DS to the Cape) July 30&31
so that leaves 17days at 60mins each day

I'm new to this, but would like to go for it! I'm working for 1000 minutes! Love the clippie! :)
 
I have just joined the July challenge and would like to try this. However, for someone who doesn't exercise that 1000+ minutes really seems like too much for me to aim for. So if it is okay I would like to aim for the number of times I'm planning to go to Curves per week. Then if I do more I can pass my minimum. I plan to do Curves 3 times a week for 30 minutes.

I am a totally not exercising type of person. And my incentive for sticking to Curves is that my company is reimburising me part of the fees!! :rotfl: Nothing like a little bribery to get you motivated.

So if I can start with the 390 minutes for the month of July, I would like to join. Please let me know if this is an acceptable amount to be part of this club!!

OK I have fallen off the wagon big time on my vacation, but I am ready to get back on track in july. Count me in for 1400 minutes.
 
Count me in for 1200 min. I came closer in June and would like to succeed on this one.

Okay.....I am in on this one!! I am a former *I hate exerciser*, but have joined a gym again ~ and LOVE to exercise!! I go with my friend, and we go 5-6 days per week for 90 minutes!!

I am going to shoot for 1500 for July!

Saturday I told some male friends of mine that told me I was fine and didn't need to exercise/diet ~ that by the end of August, I was going to be so fit/slim/trim that if the wind blows they will have to grab my ankles to hold me down!!!! ;) ;) Doesn't hurt to WISH BIG does it!!! ;) ;)
 
Count me in too. I'm trying to walk about an hour each day. Sure wish the weather would cooperate with me and stop trying to bake me. I'm out by 5AM and it is already 75 degrees. YUK!!

Welcome tara!!! I believe ANY goal is acceptable, and better than nothing! ;)

I will shoot for 500 minutes again this month. I did not/will not make that for June, but I have to dedicate at least a FEW days for exercise, and these challenges keep me doing that, even if it's less than I did before. :rolleyes:

I will try for another 800 this month. We have a beach vacation planned for the end of the month so we'll see how it goes.

Sign me up! I am going to up my numbers this month. In May I did signed up for 800 and did 1000 and this month I signed up for 1200 which I will just make today ;) so I need to challenge myself for July - 1350!
