JAMBO Everybody...An August 2011 TR (Completed May 13)

I didn't know you could get a henna tattoo in Morocco. My girls would love that. Do you mind me asking where in Morocco and how much is was?
It is in the "shop" by the lagoon side...they have clothing and stuff too and a band that plays there every now and then! Jasmine looked thru the book and I believe the one she choose was $14 or $20 It last two weeks too so I thought that was great! The book is more out front and then you go in a little where she does the tattoo!
Dis meets are so much fun. I had one a few trips ago. I know what you mean about forgetting you've never met before because you "talk" on the DIS all the time.

We all loved finally getting to meet up! Dale was a little apprehensive but he loved making a new drinking buddy We look forward to traveling at the same time again so we can have another meet

Dale (Dawn's hubby) told me that the jalapeno margarita was delicious so I decided to give it a try! I realize now tho that I look far too happy in this picture! I have to say that drink was one of the best I have ever had! It was different but not completely out there! Loved it!

You really DO look far too happy! OMG! That is probably how I looked when I had my first jalapeno rita. It really is the BEST!

All caught up! It seems I haven't missed a ton though which is a good thing That's awesome you got to meet up with Caitlin and Dawn! Can't wait until the day when I put together a DISmeet or go on one nonetheless. Sounded like you had a great dinner at Via Napoli too! I'm so glad I've read an update on that restaurant without hearing about how good-looking the waiters are and then the food... Now I actually understand how good the food is lol

Lol at the ever changing weather...it's been the same here in the UK. The last couple of days it rains and then the sun comes out afterwards...wierd and confusing!

I loved the candy lady and the way she made sculptures out of nothing was amazing.

Love that Jasmine wants to go to Italy...I've been looking at trips there and am hoping to visit one day in the near future.

Your meal at Via Napoli sounds amazing...yay on having a great waiter in Ricardo and am glad you did not let him talk you out of your choices.

I can understand that! I remember when we were meeting up with Declansdad's crew, we all laughed how we were doing what we teach our children never to do...meet up with strangers you meet on the internet

It was a wonderful day! I love how the Dis lets us relive these memories over and over! We are truly blessed to have met so many wonderful people on these boards and I can't wait to meet some more on our next visit!

I'll let you know when that Italy trip will be happening....you never know, you could always meet us there

Jasmine's tattoo is pretty! I saw a tattoo on a girl's foot that I thought was absolutely ideal. It was along the side, so you could see it with flip flops or sandals, but if she had a pair of shoes on, it could be hidden. I don't remember what it said, but it was a phrase in script.

You do look really excited about that drink. As you should be... you were in the world!

The breakfast food porn looks AMAZING! I really might need a breakfast ADR!

I also loved Jasmine's henna tattoo... it is much like the one I got on my wrist on my trip with my mom last year but alas, I cannot find the picture. They really are so cute and it does stay on a good bit so it seems worth it to me.

I have a girl at work that has serendipity written along the side of her foot and it looks great!

That drink was so good, I was surprised that I like it! That breakfast was on of the best that we have had on property!

Pineapple was the first one I tried and I agree, delish! I thought I would venture outside my box and try something different and I am so happy that I did! This trip.....it's the avocado one that I'm going to try!

Hope everyone is as excited as I am that the weekend is here! This week flew by and I got practically nothing accomplished for our trip! I really need to get this TR finished up so you may see a few updates this weekend! I figure between laundry and housework I can get a few more done!

We had the best morning with our dear friends, an afternoon of rest and relaxation at the resort and this evening we were heading to the Yacht and Beach Club to have dinner at Captain's Grille! Jasmine and I had eaten here but it was going to be a brand new experience for the rest of the crew!

Jasmine and Peg waiting to be called for dinner! We were a little early for our ADR but they told us not to go far as they could get us right in! Fine by us

I ordered the clam chowder for an appetizer and shared it with the kids! Jasmine loves clam chowder so I believe she ate most of it At the Captain's Grille they have one of those options that for a set price you get a choice of one appetizer, one entree and one dessert so that's what I got!

This was delicious.....omg, I can still taste it.....it was a pork chop on top of corn polenta....words cannot describe how flavourful this was! I would go back in a heartbeat to have this!

Both Jeff and Jasmine ordered the gnocci and shrimp! They loved it...Jasmine was mad because she got full fast but still wanted to eat .... I think you know who finished her meal don`t you

We had such a great meal here and it was made even better by our server. He was such a gentleman, attentive but not overbearing, it was perfect! I loved the fact that he asked if we were in a hurray to go to the park to which we all replied nope, just going back to the resort. He paced everything perfectly and it was such a great evening

great update!!! I guess they changed their 3 course menu since you went because the only thing you got that's on it is the soup!!! The pork chop might have been on it too!! The food looks sooo yummy even at 8:45am lol.

Thanks! Yes, it was supposed to have been a surprise but it isn`t now We just changed resorts a couple of weeks ago so we are now staying at Pop which we`re very excited about! I have a PTR going if you`re interested

We havn't been yet but I have an ADR booked for August.

You mentioned the TiW card. I am contemplating getting one in May.
When do they expire? End of the calendar year or 1 yr from the time you purchase it?

Paying OOP is new to us as we always have Free Dining.

Dismeets are fun, can't wait for ours!
