Well, I guess its time for me to get this party started
HELLO EVERYBODY and WELCOME to what is sure to become the greatest literary masterpiece of all-time. No joke. Future generations will be reading this trip report in their tenth grade English classes. I bet itll even wind up on Spark Notes because its complexity will be too much for their tenth grade minds to handle. Thats how good its going to be.
Im Kara. Im 20 years old, and I am studying journalism at Ohio State. I have a major TV obsession, and if youve read my PTR or Lia (__disneygirl)s TR, you already know that. So Im apologizing in advance for whatever crazy TV-related tangents we might go off on in here Especially when the Fall TV season starts. Have you heard theyre doing a Britney Spears episode of Glee? And a Rocky Horror Picture Show themed Halloween episode? And OMG 30 Rock is going to do a LIVE episode? How freakin awesome is that?
Besides my TV obsession, Im also MAJORLY obsessed with Disney. Although I guess thats kind of obvious. I doubt Id be here writing a trip report if I wasnt of the Disney-loving variety. I was four years old when my family took our first trip to WDW, and Ive been hooked ever since. In fact, I think I fall even more in love with Disney with each trip. WDW is just full of so many memories that its impossible not to get downright giddy anytime I think about it. Plus, life is so darn stressful that its nice to know that there is one place that will always make me completely and totally happy. I mean, I could feel like poop at WDW, but Id still be happy because hey, Im at WDW!
Heres a picture of me in the Polynesian lobby. Im not sure why I posed like something straight out of an awkward Senior picture, but I did. Im cool like that.
As usual, my traveling companions were my family: My mom, dad, and my sister, Katie. My mom and dad are two AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL people who work ridiculously hard so that we can afford to go to Disney every summer. I mean, theyre putting two kids through college. Its not easy. And I love them to death for it. I seriously have the best parents ever. And I know that everyone (well, almost everyone) says that about their parents, but I will fight you all for the title of I Have the BEST PARENTS EVER. Because I do. And this is my trip report, so what I say goes.
Katie is 18 years old, and is pretty much the best little sister I could have asked for. Shell be attending Ohio University in the fall, where she will be studying to become a Physical Education teacher. Shes a super active girl and I think shell make a wonderful teacher. She is the familys resident thrill seeker, and will do just about anything high, fast, and terrifying. Shes also afraid of butterflies. Just thought Id throw that in there because I like to make fun of her for it. Love ya, Sis!!
Heres a picture of the gang. I know its kinda blurry, but its the only picture I have of the three of them. There will be plenty more better pics to come if for whatever reason you really want to stare at high-ish quality pictures of my family, but thisll do for now.
We were at the World from July 23rd to the 28th and stayed at my favorite hotel, THE POLYNESIAN!! I dont want to spoil the rest of my report, but here are a few teaser pics of the Poly.
Who wouldnt want to stay there? Im already dying to go back!!!
Well, thats all for the introduction, but I promise you that youre in for a fun ride. We had a FANTASTIC trip and I cannot wait to share every little bit of magic with you all! So stay tuned!!
