Is this SeaWorld Itinerary Possible?

Hi! I've only been to SeaWorld once when I was 5 (20 years ago!), so I don't remember anything about it. I am the type of person that wants to see EVERYTHING though :)
I was looking at the Sea World show schedules, and was trying to fit everything in. My mother will be going with me, and she doesn't want to spend 8 hours at the parks (Party pooper). I realize that the show schedules will change, but based on these hours, is my itinerary possible? And if not, what could I cut out? The odyssea doesn't seem all that exciting to me; I hate penguins and it seems like a penguin show.
The sample show schedules are as follows:

Believe
11:00, 2:00, 3:30, 6:15, 9:00
Shamu Stadium

Blue Horizons
11:00, 12:30, 2:15, 3:45, 5:15
Whale and Dolphin Theatre

Clyde & Seamore Take Pirate Island
10:00, 11:30, 12:30, 3:45, 5:45
Sea Lion and Otter Stadium

Fusion
1:15, 2:45, 7:00
Bayside Stadium

Odyssea
1:30, 3:15, 5:15, 7:15
Nautilus Theater

Pets Ahoy
12:15, 1:45, 3:15, 5:00, 6:30
Seaport Theatre

Realistically, will doing this work? And if not, what are your suggestions?:

Clyde and Seamore: 10:00 AM
Believe: 11:00 AM
Blue Horizons: 12:30 PM
Fusion: 1:15 PM
Pets Ahoy: 3:15 PM
Odyssea: 5:15 PM

Thanks so much!

edit: Edited because I spelled Itinerary wrong and felt silly

You probably won't be able to get into Believe because it fills up fast and the Clyde & Seamore show goes for about 30 minutes, then there is maybe a 10 minute walk to Believe. You need to allow at least 30 minutes per show, and if you want good seats, it may be more like 45 minutes or more. The time between Blue Horizons and Fusion is probably too tight also since Blue Horizons is about a 30 minutes show also with a good hike between shows. Also, when would you have lunch? Maybe you can come back a second day?

hi! Thanks for looking at it :) I will not be able to come back a second day, as we will not be in Orlando long enough.
Is there any way that it can work? With time changes or something? That's why I posted it on here; I wanted to hear the "no that won't work!!" so thanks a lot :)
So does anyone have an idea of a way to schedule it that you could see all the shows? Thanks!

I would suggest cutting out one of the shows. Fusion is the one I would cut since there are other places you could see a similar show. This will give you a more relaxing visit. Plus you will have time for lunch and to see the other exhibits like sharks, penguins, dolphins, etc.

Good luck and have a great time!

It seems like Odyssea isn't the show I would like..
What exactly makes up Fusion? I've only seen the tricks my family does, I've never seen what others can do, which is why I was kind of interested :)

we're passholders and spend a lot of time at SW. looking at your itinerary and trying to map out a route is difficult because of the way the park is laid out.

you're looking at stadiums that hold thousands of people, and you just can't walk out and start walking to the next show on your list.

Blue Horizons and Believe are on different ends of the park, a half hour walk between them. the others are more centrally located around the Waterfront.

OK. I worked this out a bit with 'some' thought.

Clyde and Seymour: 10:00 AM
Blue Horizons: 11:00 AM
Pets Ahoy: 12:15
Believe: 2:00 PM
Fusion: 2:45 PM
Odyssea: 5:15 PM

I'll explain. For some reason people aren't getting in to the park until a little after 10. You're going to want to be at the park AT opening or just a few minutes after. Get to Clyde and Seymour early to get a 'decent' seat and watch the mime preshow. Getting a better seat here will help with the next choice. The first Blue Horizon show is usually packed. There are times you can show up right before the show and get a seat, mostly not though. The 2 stadiums aren't too far and you just enter the Whale & Dolphin stadium on the side near Journey to Atlantis. Visit Pets Ahoy. Grab a bite to eat or a snack, mess around in a gift shop but make your way towards Shamu Stadium. The Believe show WILL fill up. You might spend some time on a line waiting for the stadium to open but you want to see the show. Head over to Fusion after Believe. They are very close and for some reason the stadium is never packed. I've been there many many weekdays and I get a seat right before the show will start. Grab another snack or bite to eat and mess around for an hour and see Odyssea.

Here's the ultimate problem. Going 'commando' isn't always fun. Sometimes it's nice to just stroll around and not run to catch every show. Plus the shops will suck people in. I take it from the showtimes that the park is open until 10PM. You will catch crowds but the major shows are Believe and Blue Horizons. Getting one out of the way and leaving time between the other will let you have a better chance of seeing them both. Bring a light snack with you if you want to skip either meal/snack time. This will give you a chance to check out something else as someone pointed above. I just threw that in as an idea of what you can fit in. If you want a drink, don't wait on a line in the restaurants as they are longer. Plenty of drink carts throughout the park. Hope this helps a little.

EDIT: Adding a note. If you are planning this on a weekend. You can toss this plan out the window. You'd have to dump a show. I'd choose Fusion then Pets Ahoy. I actually like Fusion better, but it's not a 'must' see. I've seen Pets Ahoy too many times.

Holy smokes, 30 minutes to walk between two shows?! I had no idea haha

Thanks a bunch Chris. I really like your itinerary; it allows us to drop the two that we'd want to see the least if need be, and if we can't get into the others, we can plop them down at the bottom of the list and replace like..odyssea. I really appreciate all the information and tips!! I had no idea I'd have to show up so early for the shows, and stand in line. I'm going to print this out and take the information with me :)

suezb:

In case it helps, here was my touring plan, based on the shows for 20-Jul-06.

We were able to follow it up to the Believe Show for which after we spent waiting so long, they couldn't get the Whale out of the stadium tank. After 30 minutes or more of trying to get the whale to move, they cancelled the show. This threw the rest of our plans out the window, and disappointed, we left for the day, intending to return the next day, but did not due to some medical issues. I would call this a commando schedule, and I would agree it was not fun, and led to the aforementioned medical issues for my husband. Therefore, I would just take it easy and do just what you can do without stressing about it!

Thanks zsazsa! I'm going to print yours out as well, just so I can get an idea of what will work for us :) Much appreciated!

I have to agree with all those who have mentioned about the time getting between shows, and the NEED to get to Believe and Blue Horizions early to get good seats, and in some cases seats at all. The size of the park, the schedules, and the locations of the various shows, makes it VERY difficult in busy times of the year to hit all the shows in one day! You have to build in sufficient wait, "travel" and exit times into your plan!

It took us three trips last week (I have family in town visiting) to finally get to see Believe. On Saturday (7/22) two shows (that we heard announcements for) were full to capacity 1/2 hr PRIOR to the show starting. Also on Tuesday (7/25) the 2pm show was filled to capacity about the same time. We walked into the stadium and saw no available seats (maybe some singles here and there) and decided to forget it, grab lunch and see the next show..... just as we were exiting again they announced that it was full to capacity. We were going to try the show that started 3:15 or 3:30... and by 2:45 the line was already back to Happy Harbor prior to them dropping the chain! It was a very hot day, so we opted to go home, and try another day for the 6pm show. We arrived at 5pm, and were able to get up to the stadium -grabbed a Shamu bar and drink, and waited. People started lining up at the entrances within about 10 or 15 minutes.... the Stadium did not fill to capacity for this show, but it was close to it!

If you are in SW in the evening - do try and see the Sea Lions at night show... it is a hoot - they "do" all the SW shows in 20 minutes. They parody Believe, Fusion, Pet's Ahoy, etc. The mime particpates in the entire show after his pre-show, and is very very funny!

I had my 82 year old mother, who will do anything she can to keep up, DD9, DGN10 and myself - last week was a hot/humid one (we don't usually do the parks during the day in the summer unless we have guests!!) - and 4 or 5 hours at a time was about all I could get out of them! We had gotten their passes validated to be able to use them for the 6 following days after the first visit... which was great for us since DD and I have APs. We were able not to have to push anyway past their limits.

I have heard several shows lately being edited or cancelled due to animal "malfunction"! We did not see the whale portion of Blue Horizions, and at Believe two of the males whales were out in the pool when they were not supposed to be and did not want to go to the back - finally the Mom came out, and after about five minutes the returned, then Shamu did not want to come our right away! So it is always a possibility that your plans might get changed by nature!!!

FWIW-

We went to Sea World this Wednesday, here is our quick and dirty itinerary:

Arrive-9:30am
Rode Kraken less than 1 minute line!
Rode Journey to Atlantis 5 minute line (took longer to stow stuff in the 50cent locker)
Buy Atlantis picture $19.95 I think. (not really worth it, but my wife wanted it) 10 Minutes
browse Gift Shop 5 minutes

Walk to Believe Show. (showtime 11:00am)
Sit for Believe show and wait. Splash Zone was already full and people were coming in droves at 10:25 or so. We got a second section seat on the railing.
Show went fast, maybe 20-25 minutes.

Headed to Busch Hospitality and had two free beers. This took about 20-25 minutes in total. We browsed the gift shop and looked at the Clydesdales. They were just pulling into the stable as we left. We stopped and took some pictures.
We then walked through the Shark Encounter. This went really fast. There was no line to get in and the moving walkway really cruises you through. Total time was about 15-20 minutes.

We then headed for the penguin Encounter. I think we made a few wrong turns and after a drink break we got there and through it about 45 minutes later.

We walked past Pets Ahoy just as it was ready to begin , (1:45) but blew it off and headed to Blue Horizons Dolphin show. There was a bunch of people headed that way and we decided against it. Unfortunately the next show wasn't till 3:45 as was the next Clyde and Seamore at the same time. We were boiling hot and headed back to the RPR pool.

All in all, I think with a little better planning, you could get a lot done in a day at Sea World. The treks from one stadium to another are longer than I thought, and the exiting from the Believe show could be ages.....

My kids were pretty content with the "thrill" rides and the Shamu show alone. I would have loved to have gone back in the evening for a taste of Sea World at night, but it was not to be.

Because I like to be different...
I am a big believer in comandoing round seaworld (doing ALL the shows and exhibits) in one day. It's do-able, unless something gets cancelled due to grumpy animals or inclement weather. In that case you need to know what you are willing to drop from your plan, and what you arent. Schedule favourites early on if possible so you know they will get done. Seaworld isnt as big as it looks on the map, and at a reasonable walking pace you can cover one side to the other in 15 mins.
If you want to get all the shows done, you cant sit in the splash zones for everything (or possibly anything except your first of the day).
Unless your party is huge, there is nearly always room to squeeze in upstairs in the Shamu stadium, but as Believe is new I may be unpleasantly suprised this year.
I would say go for it with your schedule, it looks a lot like mine is going to.

We just did Sea World this past Friday, and even with spending an ungodly amount of time on dinner at Sharks, we still did just about everything and still left at 8:00 p.m. We missed the Pets Ahoy because we spent too much time shopping and we skipped the Polar bears because we didn't want to ride the ride. I know you can see them without the ride, but DS wanted to spend more time in Shamu's Happy Harbor.

Odyssea isn't a penguin show. The only "penguins" you will see are the guys/girls in costumes who do the acrobatics on the trampolines. The show is kinda like a mini "Cirque." OK, a micro-mini one. The acts only take a few minutes for each, but I thought it was worth it. Fusion spent way too much time dancing and not enough water sports for my taste. But it was OK as well.

If you want good (splash) seats for any of the shows, you absolutely cannot do it all in one day. We were arriving at shows just a few minutes beforehand and had no trouble sitting in a fairly good spot. The only trouble we had was at Believe. We arrived at least 15 minutes before and had really good seats. But we sent DH for some Shamu bars and DS(5) was too afraid to sit far enough away from me to save DH's seat. We finally got crowded out and had to move upward. Way upward. Way, WAY upward. Could still see just fine, though. And we didn't have to worry about accidentally leaving chocolate Shamu-prints on any of our neighbors.

<<<<<Unless your party is huge, there is nearly always room to squeeze in upstairs in the Shamu stadium, but as Believe is new I may be unpleasantly suprised this year. >>>>

Right now you need to get there very early to get splash zone or any seat at all. The lines are huge from each pathway into the stadium-often wrapping around it. They have even added metal bleachers to the extreme side of the stage-where you can't even see the screens to accommodate larger crowds( don't think they were there before anyway) but from experience I can tell you they are the worst seats in the house if you want to see the movie portions which are no biggy to us.

SW has become the park to go to. Its attendence is growing and not as stagnant as some of the other Orlando attractions. I think because it offers a much less expensive day for locals than Disney does because of the lower AP prices and Fun passes more locals go to the park than ever before. Out of staters have picked up on this also so the crowds have been huge for the last year or so. I used to say that the only lines would be for the food, coaster and water ride, but now there are lines waiting at the stadiums an hour before showtime when the parks are busy. Often they announce capacity filled 30-45 minutes before a show. The stadiums are generally standing room only for almost all shows and even Pets Ahoy is hard to get into now. For years it was just a "cheesy show for parents with little kids" Took me years to go in-a way to get out of the rain one day. Found out it was a cute little show. Last year only about half the seats would be filled at show time. This year we couldn't get in the last few times.
Next year SW adds the water park. Can't wait to see how they compare. Heard some really exciting rumors about it. If they are true it will be a waterpark that shouldn't be missed.
