Is cooking in a studio ok?

Is there a list somewhere of what you can request of housekeeping? Not talking about crockpots, etc, but more than just one cookie sheet or pot. How about a potato peeler or a knife for cutting up veggies or meat? I mean a table knife works if you have an hour to spare, but it would be nice to have a decent knife instead of packing one in suitcase. I thinking of a bigger villa.

There are a lot of practical limitations to consider. You need to keep it reasonable, and not get carried away. What can you fit in a room, how do you get it there, etc...
