Is all hope lost for BOG

Last year we did the works at Disney with the deluxe dining plan. Tried and tried for reservations months out until the day of every day and no luck. We are going back next month for our anniversary with the kids. Not sure we will be back again for a while after this. This is a last minute trip once we realized we could make it work. I'm so bummed and upset because there are just 2 places I want to go. BOG and cinderellas castle for breakfast. Can't get a reservation for either. Is all hope lost for us? It makes me want to cancel the whole trip because it was so important to me to do these 2 things with my daughter. Sooo upset. Please some one tell me there is still some hope? Going last week of April. 25-1st

You could always get the FP for a counter service lunch, and keep trying for the ADR. That's what we are doing. I REALLY want to eat there, and if lunch is all I can get, then so be it.

You can try calling too. Some people have said that sometimes the CM have more times than we see.

There is always hope for BOG. I cancelled 3 reservations for 8 in February as our plans changed. We ate there for dinner and lunch and dinner is completely different. I enjoyed both. I say just keep calling as people's plans change you may get lucky.

stalk the website...seriously.

You can literally check the website 100s of times per day in search of hard to get ADRs. Things are also more likely to pop up last minute as people thin out their choices...which is a must now due to everything having a CC guar. I know it sounds obsessive to check so many times, but this practice has never failed me.

As a pp said, STALK THE WEBSITE! It really works! I booked my trip 4 months out and initially had some trouble getting some of the ADRs and times I wanted. I now have around a dozen ressies at appropriate, for our family, times. I got BOG for 530 pm at 40 days out! I also snagged an 805 am CRT ressie around that time. Keep trying!

1) Remember, "Hope Springs Eternal".
2) You have two chances
. . . a cancellation appears just when you are on-line looking for a ressie
. . . you get in line about 10:15am for the lunch meal
3) Just so not raise the child's expectations, in the event no BoG meal.

We started feb 1 to plan a trip spring break, because my dd is graduating with BA this year and the only time she can go, we originally thought may because she would have time between BA and MA, but she got notice it was only 2 days so we had to change.

We settled on days and booked resort feb 11 for a march 12 date of arrival. Then I started with ressies. I check everyday, multiple times a day and take what I can. Within one week I got
CRT for lunch
BOG late night
Chef mickeys, first late night then moved to late dinner
Akershus for breakfast for Anna and Elsa m&g mostly
1900 park fare for dinner
Tusker house breakfast
Hoop dee doo review
Garden grill I think in Epcot dinner
Mama meal rose fantastic party dinner
50 prime time dinner
Bog FP lunch
Whispering canyon dinner

And one more but I can not remember.

The only one that is way out of our usual time frame is the bog, but we got it and I keep trying to see if I can move it, if not we may just have to do dessert but it was the only place my dd wants.

What I have not been able to get is T. Rex and BBB for a specific day. So yes there is hope, you need to be flexible with times, you need to be aggressive in your search and you need to relax, last weekend I was on site and got all excited because I found two bog at a great time and started to book, when I noticed the ressies where not for a month out but for that same day, so they do show up even on line for the same day. If I was you and you have not gotten them by the time you leave, check each day you are down there, hopefully you have park hoppers and each morning check to see if there are any cancellations.

People cancel ressies all the time. You really have to stalk the website. If you don't get one before you go, be sure to check every day while you're there too. I cancelled a CRT ressie 24 hours in advance once, so it does happen.

You could also try subscribing to the cancelled ADR thread for April. It's against the rules to ask for a ressie, but people will post ressies there that they're going to cancel. Some will even try to coordinate with you when they cancel so that you have a better shot of getting the ressie.

There is always hope. Last year I had tried every day to get a dinner reservation at BOG with no luck. Then we entered MK at around 5pm and walked straight to BOG and asked for standby for two. They gave us a pager and said wait right here and immediately the pager went off and we were escorted to our table! This year we used fast pass+ and made a lunch reservation including pre ordering our food for 5 people just the evening before. The line at BOG was the longest line I have ever seen at WDW, but we were taken right inside. I'm here to say never say never. Keep on trying.

You can always get in for lunch if you are willing to stand in line. Unless it's very important to meet the Beast, lunch is a good option.

What I have not been able to get is T. Rex and BBB for a specific day.

Call T-Rex directly, without going through Disney. You will be able to get pretty much whatever you want if you do it that way. Most restaurants at WDW you do not have that option, but with T-Rex you do.

Don't give up. We ate there on our Nov/Dec trip and LOVED it, infact the guys loved it so much they wanted to go again. I looked every day, multiple times a day and finally the day before our last park day a reservation showed up and I grabbed it. My guys were very happy.
Also when we were there both times, we saw people walk up and were able to get a table from a last minute cancellation- one of them was a party of 10.

Let me add the word "stalker" to my resume! I just booked a trip yesterday and BOG is booked! I have the website up continual. And it will stay that way until I get a ressie. If after 4.5 months of stalking and I don't get one, then it wasn't meant to be....or I will throw a tantrum. LOL

Stalking paid off for me! I kept the website up and every time I walked by the computer during the course of the day, I would check it. I finally got our dinner reservation yesterday. So be encouraged & don't give up!

I had tried for a month prior to leaving to get reservations to BOG. I checked the computer every day while we were there and got lucky mid-week!! Someone must have cancelled so I grabbed it! Hope that you manage to get one because it is really fabulous!

On our first trip a decade ago we had ADR's for CRT and then we had a family emergency so trip was postponed and we lost our ADR.

I called and called but no luck.

I cannot recall the exact time frame but I called a week out or so and got a ADR for CRT. The timing sucked but we ate in the castle.


I say try and try until last minute.


Like said don't get your kids hopes up.

Lastly maybe book another "princess" meal as a back up either 1900 Park Faire or Akerhaus.

What makes dinner so different than lunch? Have been there several times for lunch but never dinner.

Thank you so much everyone! I was just able to score reservations for our anniversary and the first night in the park. I am so excited.
