I called CRO today and a voice answered and they said their name. They asked me mine so I gave it to the CM and as soon as the CM knew how to pronouce my last name (1 in 100,000 gets it right), I knew I had not mis heard the voice on the other end of the phone to be someone I "knew". I knew the voice, but the name was different. They were not allowed to tell me it was them either. So...now I know that CRO calls for dining are answered by the online/catalog staff in Kansas City, but I also know that the CRO RESERVATION over flow calls are also answered by the people working for the catalog call center in Kansas City. This CM member stopped from telling me who they really were and I told them that I knew it was them. I for sure know now 100% for sure I have no code attached to my name as I trust this person to be honest. While I was on the phone, I asked them to check just to be sure. I've worked with them over the course of a few years.
So, it is no wonder mis information can be produced if over flow calls are being answered by folks that normally don't work in that area. Not only that, they have to learn 3 different jobs. I feel sorry for all of them
It's no wonder when some people call about codes, the CM doesn't know. They probably really don't know what we are talking about.
