Day 2 – Part 1

We got up at 8 AM and headed to Chik-Fil-A for breakfast.

DH, Ds and I had chicken biscuits



DD (aka the pickiest person alive) had just a butter biscuit and some hash rounds.



We got to Epcot and our NEW annual passes didn’t work. No surprise there. So we spent about an hour at the front gate getting that sorted out. It took them forever to find our order even though I had a confirmation number with me. So we thought we got it sorted out and were able to enter the park.

We checked the single rider line for Test Track. 45 minutes at 9:30ish. Nope. Mission Space was 10 minutes though so we hopped in line.

After that, we checked out the Festival Center for the Flower and Garden Festival.

New Dooneys. Now, I love these bags. They are super cute. But wow – those things cost A LOT. I just don’t see myself ever buying one of them.



After that, it was about 35 minutes to our fast pass time so we checked out something we have never tried before. Ellen’s Energy Adventure.

This was surprisingly entertaining for us. DD wanted to do it again, but we needed to head across the park for our first FP. Figment.

But first, she NEEDED some ice cream.

Monorail!!!



Normally, having a FP for Figment is a waste, but this is Spring Break y’all. And the wit was 35 minutes. We get to the FP line and our bands don’t work. So, they linked our AP’s to the bands, but not our FP’s – great. We were able to show the CM a screenshot of our FP’s and she let us through. But I knew another trip to guest services was in our future.

It IS a Figment mug. I am having serious souvenir regret. DH says we don't have any more room in the cabinets anyway - LOL.

The AP issues are still ongoing. Pain in the ........

Day 2 – Part Two

After our ride on Figment, we headed over to Innoventions where the My Magic + desk was and explained our problem. Photos along the way.









This took ANOTHER hour. During this time, DD did Storm Struck 2x (it was right there close by) and DS walked around the World Showcase – while we waited …. And waited.



They told us to go ahead and go and they would call us. So we headed to Mexico in World Showcase for some Nachos.

We ate at La Cantina San Angel




Nachos- tortilla chips with ground beef, nacho cheese, tomatoes, jalapenos, black beans, and sour cream $10.50

DH and I shared one with everything and the kids split one with just cheese. And yes, one is plenty to feed two people.

Yummy. While we were having lunch, the girl that was helping us called and said we were all set with our magic bands and told DH that they had it fixed and we had a Carte Blanche FP for the rest of the day. YAY!!

So we headed straight to Soarin’ to check it out. Because our FP for this was Test Track.

Wow, the carte blanche fastpass was nice compensation for your two hours in line. Did it work at all four parks, or only at Epcot?

Just at Epcot and just for that day. We got to ride Test Track twice and Soarin on a busy April day. It made us feel warm and fuzzy. Sadly, I never got the issues truly resolved until just yesterday. After about 3 hours on the phone with DVC and Ticketing. But the CM's were super nice and helpful and it all worked fine. I think.

Awww - thanks !!! I wish I could tell you for sure if they were good, but the kids scarfed them down so fast, DH and I didn't get any.

Hey Susan! I'm here and joining in. I've been pretty busy and don't spend as much time as I would like on the DIS, but I couldn't miss one of your trip reports!

That villa was lovely! Very spacious and just what you need on vacation.

I hate when things don't work right. You deserved the carte blanche fastpasses for the day.

I really like those new Dooney's also. I have a hard time spending that much money on a bag, too. Especially one that won't be used daily.

Those string bags are super cute! I take it you have an embroidery machine?

Lastly, how is your ankle doing? No word of a scooter this trip, so I take it that's a good sign.

That was nice but we only used them for two rides as DD wanted to get back and swim. It was really nice though. I didn't ever get things straightened out until a week after I got home. What a mess.

Hey Annie!! I'm so happy you dropped by!! I have been so busy with my sewing business PLUS a day job that I haven't had much time either. But I've been trying to check in more frequently.

I am on a Facebook page of the Dooneys and the ladies there are always complaining about them breaking and the bad customer service, etc. It is fun to look at the photos though. I would never buy one. I can't justify spending that much money on a bag no matter how cute it is.

I do!! I just got it on my b-day in January. A friend of mine had it sitting around and she wasn't using it. So she GAVE it to me!!! It is like an $8,000 machine. It needs a serious cleaning and service, but I've been making it work for me and earn me some Disney money!! It has been a lot of fun. I just made this tote bag tonight.

It is as good as it is going to get. I was able to walk the whole time but I had some chemical help and I iced it A LOT. It was a long journey and it will never be as good as new, but I'm getting along. Thanks for asking.

Day 2- Part 3

After Soarin (YAY!!), we headed over to Test Track

Twice (DD loves Test Track). We would have ridden Maelstrom if that was still open, but alas – it was not. After our second ride on Test Track, the crowds were getting to be a bit much, so we headed back to the resort for a swim.

Back at the resort. This was our view from our screened in porch.

The pool was packed and that was expected. This resort nickel and dimes you to death. They had a really nice lazy river that you could ride in a tube if you paid $9 for a wristband. But you could swim in it all you want for free. So it was full of pre-teens and teens without tubes. So having a tube wouldn’t have mattered with all of the swimmers. So I just had a seat and watched DD go down the slide.

We went to Outback for dinner and did some laundry when we got back. We packed up our things in preparation in moving over to Saratoga Springs the next morning.

He’s a goofball. Things you don’t think that you will have to say to your children “Get out of the couch!!” He said there was some Cheerios in there – haha.

I have learned quickly with Little Miss that there are a lot of things you wouldn't have thought you would ever have to say to a child that end up being said. I stopped being surprised by a while ago.
