Hi folks.

Well me and DH have finally come to the decision to go back to WDW in Jan 2004, I know its a long way off ( we cant go next year due to too many other commitments).

Dh has just gone self employed and Jan will be his quiet time, but i want to book it now.Looks like ill have to wait until a bit nearer to xmas or in the new year to book though.

This is what we have decided to do

5 nights on I drive

2 nights Hard Rock Hotel

7 Nights on-site

Ive never stayed on I drive before so could anyone recommend a good hotel.Do you think it would be cheaper to book a package or do it DIY.

We have decided on 2 nights at the HRH as we are doing Discovery Cove (which includes our Seaworld enterance) and that saves buying a flex ticket for IOA and USF ( Well thats my exscuse so im sticking to it).

Any suggestions gratefully received.

I know its a long way off but who cares

Tracey,

Not sure whether I'm missing something, but you will still need some sort of entrance media for US and IoA. Staying onsite gives you FOTL access, but not admission to the parks.

Which part of I-Drive do you want to stay on? The southern end (near Pointe Orlando) is quieter and spread out with more greenery (although still plenty of places to eat), whereas the top end (near Universal) is much more 'in your face' and commercialised. You probably know all that!

Generally speaking I would say it's cheaper to book yourself, but it's a case of shopping around and doing the comparisons.

Both United Vacations and Virgin are on sale for up to March 2004. We got the new brochure in last week, and the prices were cheaper than last year.
We have booked with them for July 2003. This is the first time we'll be doing a DIY, but it looks like its coming together already - and its cheaper.

I have never stayed in I-Drive, so can't help you there.

We always go back to Quality Inn International on I Drive its on the corner of Drive and Sand Lake Road on the junction for I4 and in walking distance you have bars, mcdons,BK,Dennys,etc,7-11 everything you need and its cheap too Id recommend it anytime
