i resorted to the Disboards to keep me sane at work girl and when i saw your green light lit where it shows if the diser is on or not im like she read my mind! i came on the Disboards as well! hahaha

Hi Katie! Yup, I DIS way too much at work. If they ever check my online records, I might be in trouble lol. I hope they never, ever block DIS!

Hi! I know, everyone's been super busy. I was good at keeping up with this TR in the beginning and I've been slacking. Too tired to post! Glad I still have readers

I hope I get to go in September too. Long way off but those fams fill up quickly so I have to keep an eye out for the registration date!

I hope DH changes his mind and you get to go in 2011. If I don't get into this fam, I won't be back until the end of 2012. Hey, since your a disney specialist and registered with DTA, can't you apply for the fam?? Something to think about

The fam is the AEP. That's Disney's name for them but every other company calls this kind of stuff a 'familiarization tour.' Fam for short!

First I just want to say that I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Mine was fun but busy! Lots of driving. I had dinner at my mom's with Kris and the rest of my family. There were about 12 of us in total. Then after dinner we made the two hour drive to his parents' house to have dessert with them. Needless to say, I'm very tired this morning and wish I wasn't at work! But since it's not busy, I have time to DIS!

On with the trip report! It was our last day in Disney I woke up around 8:30-9, took a quick shower, and started packing my things up. I really didn't want to leave but we had a partial day of fun ahead of us before we had to head to the airport. Things between Kris and I were a little tense and we didn't really talk much but I was trying not to let it bother me. It was our last day there!

We had the car packed and ready to go by 10:40. We drove over to the Contemporary because we had an 11:05 ADR at Chef Mickey's!

I was super excited about this because I had never been to Chef Mickey's before. We checked in around 11 and waited about 10 minutes to be sat. We were led past the buffet and up a couple steps to the back of the restaurant. It seemed like they were trying to keep the adults only parties separate from the parties with kids. Didn't matter because we had a fabulous view!

The boys were looking a little tired this morning.

The characters were already making the rounds and were very close to coming into our section so we hit up the buffet right away. By the time we got our food, Goofy was by our table! Well, he either didn't want to bother us cause we had just gotten our food or he was just mean because he skipped over us! He visited every other table and just sort of waved at us. Thanks, Goof.

But I couldn't be angry at Goofy for long because soon we saw this guy!

Pluto!

Next up was Minnie!

She was so cute. Alex and Adam were stuck in a corner and were acting as the photographers but Minnie pointed at them and called them over to her!

And then my absolute favorite guy in the whole world came over to our table...

DONALD! I told him he was my favorite and to not tell Mickey. For that I was rewarded with a kiss on the top of my head. I love Donald Duck!

We finished up our breakfast and did some napkin twirling before it was time to go. Our flight wasn't until 7 so we decided to head over to MK for awhile. It was our last day but a first for the trip - Monorail time! Adam was in awe of it, especially that it went right through the Contemporary. He says he wants to stay at one of those resorts some day. Start saving!

We made it over to MK in about 15-20 minutes. We hadn't seen the castle during daylight hours yet!

We decided to do the things we hadn't done our first night there. First stop...

"There's a great big beautiful tomorrow..."

I snapped a picture of this famous space ranger I spotted on the way in.

After our trip through time, we hit up a few gift shops. I have to take pictures of the souvenirs I got. That's one thing I neglected to do. I did pick up a Mickey antenna topper while at MK. Someone had stolen my pirate one when we went to see TS3. Grr. I got a Mickey head with a cape who looks like he's flying. I'll take a picture of it to show you guys!

We headed over to Philarmagic next. I couldn't believe I had forgotten all about it during EMH our first night. This is my favorite 4D attraction because it stars..Donald Duck!

It was super hot and crowded at MK that day (it was a Saturday). I'd never seen the park like that! After Philarmagic, Alex decided he wanted to go nap in the car so he headed back to Contemporary. We walked over to check out the line for Jungle Cruise. It was 45 minutes. Not going to happen! Everybody was hot and cranky at this point, so we stopped off to get dole whips and made our way back to the Contemporary. As hot as it was, walking was the quicker option, so we took the pathway.

When we got back to the Contemporary, we found Alex sitting in the lobby. He had taken the wrong monorail, not the resort monorail, so he went in a couple loops before he realized he wasn't going to be stopping at Contemporary! My sister and I decided since we had time to kill to do a little shopping. I ended up buying a sundress that was on sale, it's light blue with dark blue mickey heads. I also got a pink & brown Mickey wallet. Again, I promise pictures of the souvenirs next post! Since I had spent a certain amount of money, I was offered a duffel bag for $15.95. Why not? It came in handy! I put all my souvenirs in there and used it as my carry on. We also got chocolate covered mickey head pretzels and coconut Mickey heads for my mom and grandma. They love their sweets!

After some shopping, my sister decided she "needed" a cigarette so we went out to the little terrace. She did her thing while I snapped some pictures.

I hope to stay here one day! I have clients staying in the 2 BR Villa in March. Can't wait to hear all about it!

After that, it was time to head to the airport. Our Disney vacation had come to an end and I felt like crying. It had gone by so fast! We had a short ride to the airport, dropped the car off, and breezed through check-in and security. We were on the plane before I knew it.

Back to JFK we go. We had an uneventful ride home and as soon as my head hit the pillow, I was asleep. It had been a great vacation, an awesome birthday, and I couldn't wait to go back!

We did! I was so sad when it was over, I'd been looking forward to it so much. I can't wait to start planning my next Disney vacation 2012 for my 30th! I will take pictures of my souvenirs soon and post them. I got more than I usually buy. Thanks

I promised pictures of souvenirs and I just around to taking them yesterday. So here you go!

The bag I got for $15.95!

That bag came in handy, lemme tell ya! I put all my souvenirs, as well as other people's souvenirs, in that bag and used it as my carry-on. There's a lot of space in there so it fit everything, no problem! And I love that I have a bag I can use to remind me of WDW even when I'm not in or going to WDW!

I got the sandals in Everything Pop. They hurt a little bit at first but they're fine once you break them in. Love them! The wallet I got in the Contemporary Woman at the Contemporary. And the ears were a present from my sister at AK. I passed them along to Dug.

He's stylish.

This is the dress I bought, also from Contemporary Woman. They were on sale and they had a bunch of different colors but I love the way the blue looked. That store was also where I got the WDW bag, although that was advertised in almost every resort gift shop.

The coolest antenna topper ever. Alex pointed it out and I just had to buy it.

Kris also bought me a Simpsons lanyard and Mickey Mouse earrings but those are too little to take a picture of and I'm sure you guys all know what those look like. I also had a blue lanyard with Mickey, Donald, Pluto, Minnie, and Goofy on it and the little plastic thing broke. Grrr. Kris bought me the Simpsons lanyard to replace it. He's so sweet

Thanksgiving was definitely busy but it was a good one, thanks! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving as well.

I don't know what Goofy's problem was.

I wanted something with all the houses on it. I had my eye on a lot of Gryffindor and Slytherin things though. If I would've seen something with Malfoy on it, I definitely would've grabbed it. I love Draco Malfoy lol. I think the kid that plays him does such a good job. Same goes for any Hufflepuff Diggory merchandise There were so many things I wanted from WWoHP! I can't wait to go back

Finally got a chance to read everything - I can't believe I missed most of your trip! I absolutely love that antenna topper, hahahaha. And I'm a bit jealous of your castle picture - all of ours have the stupid Fantasyland crane in them.

Everybody disappeared on me! That's the best antenna topper I've seen at WDW. I love it. I wanted the holiday ones too but wasn't willing to pay over $20 for them! Plus, I'd probably forget to change it and end up driving around with a St. Patty's Day topper in the middle of July. Ugh. I get that they're working on MK but the crane ruins everything! I'd be so mad if it was my first time seeing the castle and that ugly crane ruined my pictures!

Kris and I went to NYC to see the Radio City Christmas show and went ice skating, my mom and sister's birthdays (same day!) were last week so we went to the Sands in PA to celebrate, and I had my nephew's Christmas play to go to as well! The days where I had nothing planned, I was wrapping presents and decorating. So I haven't had much time to get on DIS but now that I'm back at work and it's quiet as a mouse, here I am! I'll post the highlights/lowlights recap soon so I can get this TR finished!

I didn't take any pictures of the store unfortunately. It is where the old Virgin Records store used to be in the middle of times square. I did snap a quick picture on my phone of a shirt that said I <3 NY only instead of a heart, it was a red Mickey head. Cute!
