I need a CHEAP place to stay just south of ATlanta? HELP

I need to find a nice clean SAFE hotel to stay in on the way to orlando. I was hoping to stay in the Macon , GA area but have since heard its not the best place to stay. I need recommnedations for places easy to find, Cheap ($50 or less) and would love for it to have a pool and some free breakfast>

I couldn't find the hotel I wanted - AmeriSuites - there is one I stayed there - but now instead of listing the cities - the site is listing the malls close to them????

there is also a Best Western - very easy to find along I75 in stockbridge

there use to be a shoney inn - but it changed it name lately and I don't remember it.

expedia says there is a Laquinta.

I have stayed at the La Quinta in Newnan, Georgia, about 30 miles south of Atlanta. It is new, very nice, continental breakfast, one stop light off I-95. I have stayed there 3 times in the last 9 months. I highly recommend this place.

Newnan is down I-85 and to get to Disney you'll be going down I-75. Look for something in Morrow (or around Southlake Mall). Stockbridge is also a good area.

I have stayed at the Quality Inn & Suites, 115 Riverside Parkway, in Macon, GA for less than $50 per night. It is at Exit 179 off of I-75S. I was traveling solo and felt perfectly safe.

I have also stayed at the Quality Inn, 4630 Chambers Rd. in Macon, GA for less than $50 per night. It is at Exit 3 off of I-475. I was traveling with another female and felt perfectly safe.

I/we arrived late at night. Had a pleasant check-in person and went directly to our room. The continental breakfast at both locations was quite satisfactory and the rooms were clean. One of those two places will always be my stop on the way to Orlando if I have to leave after work. If I get to leave mid-day, then Ocala is my stop.
