    Going to Disney next week does anyone have any uptodate news as to whether this will be close to florida?

    Everything I have read says it will hit shore in North Carolina tomorrow (Thursday). Even if the storm were heading for Florida, the worst would probably be over before your vacation.

    You should be fine. Enjoy your trip.

    Florida was lucky enough to be spared this time around so you won't have to worry about this hurricane. Hopefully nothing else brewing in the tropics:) Hurricane season doesn't end until November 30th.

    Even though the hurricane season runs into November, once you get to October, the chances are far less. The water in the gulf and the Atlantic begins to cool and it's hard for a storm to survive.
