HP and the Forbidden Journey ... seat sizes?

Embarrassed to have to say this, but on our last trip to WWHP in Orlando, I was too large to ride either Forbidden Journey or the Gringott's ride (the latter of which I found out while getting seated).

I've lost weight since then, but can someone tell me how well FJ in Hollywood handles "pooh-sized" riders? Do they have a seat outside you can use to make sure you aren't embarrassed at seating time?

Edit: Sorry, just realized I posted this in the wrong place. I'll post it in the theme parks forum.

I am eager to see the answer to your question but I have no idea where he theme park forum is. Can someone direct me please?

I just wanted to let you know we went in September. My husband is around 265 but it's all in his belly.......which my kiddos were also little concerned about after reading on line about the seat size. I had intended to have him try the "seat" that is outside of the ride to make sure he would fit but once we were there it was obvious he would be fine. I did read that if you are a bit larger the outside seats are better but he had no problems. If you are concerned just try out the seat before you go through the que. Hope that helps!!!

I am loosing weight too thats why I am asking

There is a test seat outside the ride. Green means you are good to go. However, after riding it twice one day, the next day I couldn't get the third click by myself. They will not push down on the bar for you. They will, however, allow a member of your party to do it for you. So they pulled us off the ride but let us try again right away since I said I had ridden it before. I sat down, DH pushed on the bar and got 4 clicks for me and I was good to go. I'm about a size 22, and carry the weight in my stomach and chest mostly.

Sadly that is not always the case. I asked if I could try to get the extra click with FJ and the Team Memebers said absolutely not party members are not allowed to help. This was in September which was a drastic change from what we had experienced in a precious trip a couple years prior. Of course this was at Orlando not Hollywood. At gringotts I was allowed to help no problem (even though the help wasn't necessary).

OH that is too bad! They were the ones that suggested it to me. Maybe a difference in location.

Yeah. Orlando also was embarrassingly pulling people aside before you even entered and if you couldn't get the light to green you were escorted to the castle tour line and not allowed in the regular line. Previously it was a do it on your own thing but seriously this was a low crowd day in September so I can't imagine it was due to crowds.

Honestly, I didn't think that would be an issue. I would have thought that they would have designed the seats with everyone in mind. I am glad that you posted this because I definitely do not want to spend my money there if I can't even fit on the headliner attraction.
