we are thinking of going to the campfire/movie at Fort Wilderness campground...I thought this was at the lodge, but now found out it is at the campgrounds...how do we get there from the Poly?

Her eare your two best options:

(1) Walk to the TTC. There's a bus to Ft Wilderness/WL. The whole trip shouldn't take longer than 20 minutes.

(2) Take the monorail to the Contemporary, where you can ride the boat launch. It's a longer ride, but a scenic one. Just remember that the last boat leaves at 10 pm, at which point you'll need to use option 1 to get back to the Polynesian.

Some people will tell you to take the monorail/boat to the MK and then the boat to Ft Wilderness, but why fight the crowds?

It would be your best bet to walk over to the TTC, and hop on the Fort Wilderness bus there. That bus will take you directly to the Campfire, and also back to the TTC when you're done.

The other route would involve taking a monorail, a boat, and a bus, and would be time consuming.

A lot depends on how big of a hurry you are in while you are on vacation. In my completely unbiased opinion :teeth: , the most pleasant way would be to take the gold flag launch (which goes directly from the poly to MK), then just go to the next dock and take the green flag cruiser to FW. Crowds at MK will not be a factor for the time you will be going.

You'll find that with most Disney transportation, timing is everything. Is the boat, bus, or monorail at the station, coming in, or just leaving? If the bus just left and the boat is coming in, the boat is going to be quicker, etc.

If you haven't thought about it already, go a little early and go to the petting farm or have dinner at the best value on property (Trails End).

Is there a Fort Wilderness AND Fort WIlderness Lodge bus? Two different ones?
