How often do you visit?

We're DVC owners, so we tend to go a lot! In 2012, DH and I went in January; my mom, sister and I did a girls trip in May; and DH and I are going back in October for F&W.

Already have January of 2013 planned.....

I'm hoping to get into a regular routine at some point, but our life isn't predictable enough.
I'd like to make it a yearly occurrence, but I think every other year is more likely. It may end up being an AP year every 3 years or so in which I go on at least 3 trips with various different people.

Yup. I think Disney will be our fallback vacation for a long time, because it's so easy for us. I want to see a lot of other places, but I can't imagine a 3 year old being excited to go to Boston to see the Paul Revere church etc.

I don't have any children yet but I love this logic. Maybe I'll use it on my DH once we decide to have kids

Two 1 week trips a year plus about 5-7 long weekends with many day trips....still get excited each and every visit....

We intended to go maybe every 5 or 6 years. Somehow, next month will be our 3rd trip in 3 years . . . :confused3:lmao:

As long as funds permit, we are a once/year family. Unfortunately we had to cancel our family trip this year:sad2:, but DH and I are going for a quick trip together to check out the Food & Wine Festival. We are planning to visit again next year as a family.

We live in Denver, and because of other vacations, we can only do something Disney every 2 years, sometimes we'll slide an extra Disneyland trip in between...

Once every two years is more than enough for us. Actually after this trip it will probably be three years before we go back. There's just too many other places we want to go. I adore Disney but I can't imagine spending every vacation there.

We take three vacations a year. One to New England, where I have family. We do something different each time--New Hampshire, the Cape, Newport, train trips to
NYC, etc. One is something local-ish--camping, Cedar Point, Lake Michigan, Amish country, etc. and one is either a big trip (like Disney but as the kids get older we will do so much more . Cruises and the west coast, possibly international if I get brave enough to fly more than two hours, etc) or a second trip to New England. If we go back east again, we try to find new things to do so it doesn't get old. There's so many places to go in that area!

So yeah... We love Disney but our vacation habits don't revolve around it.

We normally visit twice a year, but since my oldest DD is going into Jr. High, we decided one long family trip a year will be fine :goodvibes.

When the kids were little, we would go once or twice a year. Now that they are older, usually once a year. :thumbsup2 We travel other places too and just don't have time to go more than this right now.

We were going once every other year. Now we're on more of an annual trip schedule in October, which I would like to keep but I don't know how realistic it is with the kids getting older and having more activities. At least not for an entire week.

That said, we're adding another short trip in Feb for my birthday and the Disney Princess Half Marathon.

We have gone as a family every 3 years since 1997, but that pattern would include a trip in 2012, which is not in the cards, although we did go to Disneyland this year. We like to do other trips as well, and this year is full!

But I am lucky to actually get PAID to go to Disney, and I have four trips lined up between November and June. I am a group travel escort for a company that organizes trips for bands, choirs, and other student groups. It's a different kind of trip, without the usual flexibility, but it's still a blast for me!

every 2-3 years since youngest turned 5

she's 11 now and we've been 4 times with the next trip planned for when she's 14

In the last 5 years we have tried to go 3x a year- Easter, August and November. Before that it was every other year. Having APs has changed our vacation habits.

We've been going once a year but I think that I'm about to give WDW a rest for a while. I have other places that I wish to see and I think that DS might like to go too. DH doesn't care one way or the other.

DH and I were going to WDW about 2-3 times a year before we moved to FL. Now that we are back in MA, we go about twice a year. Once in the spring and once in the fall. I also go for 2 weeks in December (my parents are there but DH can't take more time off.) We try to go to Disneyland once a year and someplace new once a year (San Francisco and Sonoma this year.) We would love to move back to FL:)
