Glad someone started one!!! I don't know why, but these threads always make me happy...maybe it keeps me daydreaming about future visits.... Right now I am (hoping) to get our family down for a short, 5 day visit in the spring. I was considering not going to parks at all(!!!) but maybe just a resorts,Disney Springs, relaxing kind of long weekend.... but then I saw that the Flower and Garden festival is happening in the spring(!!!) Now I am tempted...... anyway....so far my trip is costing me $24.00 for airline tickets (using points and pass) and I haven't gotten farther in my planning yet.(I have yet to see if my fam is onboard with this)
***edit*** two nights at AsMo...-$0 on cc points! so far so good....
budget for next 2 nights is currently at $50- cc points again...
main budget I guess will be for food..food....food probably around $600 for 5 days(?)
Ok after planning some things out I have a realistic budget for our short trip- (we may or may not do a parks day,we'll decide when we arrive) but right now our budget is
24.00-airfare
$200- 4 nites hotel (2 nites Pop,2 nites Swan)
$800-$1200 -food + activities (mouseboats,bowling,etc)
$0- 1 day at water parks (leftover NE extras on passes)
$35 -airport parking
$30-Uber to MCO
$0- dogsitting
*Grand total of around $1490 - around $400 saved in gift card deals= approx. $1000*
for 5 days, and 4 people. It could be less, but I'm planning for that. If we decide to do a Big park day,we'll cut down on food/entertainment $ elsewhere so total is about the same.
That = $50 per day per person-
(it feels strange to have these #'s like this, we usually focus on parks etc and not on food and relaxing costs)

How did you get 4 nights at Pop and Swan for 200 bucks?

Pop was from Orbitz- Swan is using SPG points:thumbsup2 so just paying the resort fee per night

Yes, pretty much a lot of people can.... Southwest issues a credit card with incredible bonus points attached to it.... info is all over these boards - If you use credit cards and pay your bills on time it's a great option for 'average' spenders!:flower1: (almost everyone I know uses cc's to pay for everyday things anyway)

It's not an indication of a great Disney deal though. It's an indication of a great deal through Southwest.

Oh... well that's true! :teacher:but the title of the thread was 'how much...' not 'what great disney deal have you found?' :rotfl2: Besides that, the one thing I've learned over the years is that the best 'disney deal' is usually found by utilizing deals outside of disney to lower the cost of your disney trip! It's rarely found on the disney website alone.....we've visited a lot over the years ,and gotten deals along the way as we discovered them.
