How much did your holiday cost?

£1200? Is that right?

Bargain :goodvibes

I'm not sure what our breakdown was, but our total for flights indirect from Birmingham to Newark then Orlando, 21 nights in a villa, tickets for Disney, SW, Busch, Universal and IOA, Food etc was approx £6500 in January

Yes we could save our money and buy a new house or car, but we love it so much, and our family time is our holiday so that's my justicfication! :lmao:

This is my first visit where I will be staying on site. I-Drive would have been cheaper but I feel that with so many bars and clubs opening up that it's become too noisy at night and features drunks staggering around being anti-social. I do not want idiots banging on my hotel room door at 2am. I miss a quiet I-Drive.

Oh gosh last year's hol (2 adults) was about £3.5k for 4 nights New York, 6 nights Boston, 10 nights WDW CSR with tickets and free dining, car hire in Boston and Orlando, flights (transatlantic with Continental and internal from Boston to Orlando with Delta) and insurance.
Another £300 for prepaid extras: MNSSHP, Boston Citypass, Empire State Building, HHN, Pizza tour in NYC.
We took £1000 spending money between us which went on food, fuel, a few other attractions (Boston Duck Tour, Salem museums etc) and some shopping.
Totally ridiculous amount of money for 2 people for 3 weeks and we won't be going quite so mad this year but it was amazing :goodvibes

Kinda scary when you add it all up isn't it? My dad retired 20 years ago from a job in a shipyard, he is now 83 and hardly spends anything, his pension alone is more than he needs, so I figure if turn out the same, then this isn't a bad time to spend some of what I have on something we can will look back on with fond memories.

This year.

We are going at Easter with intentions of doing some shopping, TShirts, trainers & shoes for DS. I know we will get to 1 or max 2 shops and will all have had enough, none of us enjoy shopping.

We are the same. Didn't shop at all last year but have planned to this year. We soon get fed up & start snapping. We plan on taking the bus this time, with a day pass, so we can just go to different places when we feel like it instead of doing all the shops at Premium Outlets to jusify the taxi costs.

Wow, that is a whole lot cheaper than our one for this year. I did DIY flights, hotel through Disney, Disney park tickets and 15 nights as POFQ came in on circa £3,000. I think what made it good value was the free QSDP, although I will still be paying OOP for some TS meals as always, but far fewer than before this time round.

Sounds alright for POFQ and Free Dining :) I'm hoping to do a moderate next time, got my eye on Coronado Springs;)

I'm not doing a 'big' holiday this year (as in 2-3 weeks) Going to York in June with the bf for a couple of nights in a lovely B&B, Munich for 5 nights (again with bf) in September which i'm hoping to do for £1000 all in (flights, hotel and all spends) and a week somewhere with my mum in November. If the flight price is right (£500 per person max) i'm hoping for somewhere in the US (Florida or Tennessee) but failing that we'll stick to Europe. We went to the Amalfi Coast in Italy last year which was a great experience but accomodation and food there are sooooo expensive, we definitely spent as much in a week there as we would have in Orlando even with flight costs factored in. No regrets though :goodvibes
