Fantasyland Favorites
Our first FP+ was for The Little Mermaid so we made our way back to New Fantasyland. This is one of my favorite rides since I love The Little Mermaid! I’m vowing to meet Ariel this trip!!
So remember how SIL and BIL decided to tag along to the party? I told Jim that they wouldn’t have any FP+ with us. They had purchased their tickets online and picked them up at will call that day. So Jim suggests that maybe some of us (me, my parents, the boys) could let SIL or BIL use OUR bands for a ride?
Um, no.
Like, really no.
This is the trip that I planned and we paid for so in no way am I giving up a chance to ride something (or taking that chance away from my parents or the boys). So I politely told him that he could tell them to meet us at the exit, took the boys hands, and started marching to the queue.
He eventually caught up to us and seemed very confused about why I was upset. He did eventually apologize later about the whole thing, so water under the bridge and all that. But I was fuming at the time!!
Trying to put it all to the side, I tried to enjoy the queue. I know the standby one has lots more detail but I really just love everything about this ride.
I took plenty of pictures and was singing along with all of the songs!
We had some time before our next FP+ at Winnie the Pooh so we headed back to Storybook Circus. I really wanted to see if Jake was tall enough for the Barnstormer.
And he was! In fact, he knocked his head pretty hard on the height measuring stick. The CM called it the “bonk of honor!”
The standby wait was only 15 minutes so we got in line. The queue has some pretty funny stuff that the boys always enjoy looking at.
Jake and I were in the last car. I think my SIL sat with Colin and my dad sat with Nate. My mom rode alone and I think Jim and BIL sat this one out.
Heading up the hill!
And Jake LOVED it! First rollercoaster was a success!
Our Winnie the Pooh FP+ window wasn’t quite open yet so we went over to the Tea Party. We just had to wait for the current ride to end before we were spinning around!
Nate insisted on a picture with the Mad Tea Party sign for some reason. "I know you'll want this for your report, Mommy." He knows me well.
