How late do the buses run after the parks close?

Just wondering in case we have a ressie somewhere for dinner. I want to make sure we can get back to our resort! LOL

Like a couple hours...you won't get left at the parks...they do take into account that some people are dining after park closing...but this is only the parks...if you're dining at a resort, that's a different story...we tried getting on the MK bus after eating at Wilderness Lodge and since the park just closed, we had to take a bus to DTD and transfer busses, it took forever cus everyone else had to do the same thing since the parks closed so early when we were there...but if you're dining in a park, don't worry about it...

I agree with the previous poster. The buses run from the parks to the resorts for at least 2 hours from park closing time. You will have no problem returning to your resort. :woohoo:

Ditto.

Yup. The bus drivers are informed to not take guests TO a park that is past its closing time.

The DTD transfer point is standard late-night procedure, and one that we try to avoid, whenever possible.

No kidding, it was a long way out of our way, drove right past our resort too! We got out at 8:30 and should have went to Epcot quick and went from there instead! Most of the parks closed at 8:00 if not sooner that night :( Bad planning but it only happened once so not a huge deal.

If you're dining at a resort and it's past park closing time, just take a taxi...it won't cost that much.

If you are dining at a Resort and have a late ADR, please please please just make life easy on yourself and take the BUS to DTD and then transfer to your resort bus. It took us way too long to get back to CBR from our dinner at the Contemporary Resort's Cali Grill one night. We tried taking the monorail back to MK since it was still running and just catch the CBR bus from their. well the monorail was not to going to MK again which we found out quickly so when we got to the Transfer station (the correct name escapes me) they told us that we would need to get off the monorail and take a bus to DTD. No problem right... well the buses from the Transfer Station were no longer running soooo we made our way back to the monorail to take it to the Poly. Now the monorail had stopped running by then so we ended up having to walk to the Poly and take a bus from their to DTD. Once at DTD we were finally able to catch the CBR bus. It was crazy!!! we should have just taken the DTD bus from the Contemporary and made our lives easy... (all of this took 2 hrs :scared1:)

Wasn't there any sign of life at the transfer station (TTC) who could have helped you out after the monorail dropped you off in the middle of nowhere (said TTC)?

The only sign of life we saw at the TTC was one lady that was locking up and telling us that the TTC was closed for the night and no more buses would be running. Any others at the TTC were people that got off of the monorail w/ us that were in our same situation. We were all running around trying to figure out why on earth the monorail CM @ the Contemporary had told us to get on the monorail in the first place. There was a herd of us walking to the Poly to catch a bus to DTD so that we could all get back to our own resorts... it was such an exhausting nite. We weren't too upset b/c, well...we were in WDW...just tired and full and wanted to go to bed.
