A group of ladies who met in the park last April and one event was a pizza party where each lady was given a CD with music on it, very nice CD. If you are age 18+ and female then you can join the Divas and they even put up with me and my atrocious manners. The last event was ladies only and was fun.

I would LOVE to live so close to Disneyland that I could have an AP and just go because I felt like it, or had a few hours to spare, or wanted to pick up a Disney snack, or wanted to just wander for a while, or.... I could go on and on. Some of you are VERY lucky and I am VERY envious!!!!

I actually mentioned to hubby one day that I wondered whether there were many teaching jobs available in southern CA. The look on his face was "interesting" to say the least. He was shocked and really trying to work out if I was serious. Sadly, I was just musing, because I had already read that teachers were being laid off all over the place over there, so my chance of getting a job was next to none. It was lovely to dream for a second or two though. I'm not sure hubby agrees though.

Norwalk is a city of 100,000 or so people located between the 5, 91, 105, and 605 freeways. The city dates back to about the 1880's but not sure about that. Original name was North Walk and was an important depot on the railroad at one time. Used to be dairies and fruit trees out here. Also home to a giant toxic site known as the Tank Farm which used to house jet fuel and has leaked so much fuel that at times it is over 20 feet thick. I miss the grainary with its beer like smell permeating the air.

Not famous for much other than used for movies sometimes.
History class is now over.

Artesia is a nice little town that was founded on artesian wells and by Dutch and Portuguese/Azorean dairymen. Eventually Asian businesses moved in and made the town a little India. The ethnic diversity makes it a wonderful place to shop and visit as far as I am concerned. My AAA office is there and Artesia is right next to Dairy Valley, oops, Cerritos. Samosas are good but I am not a big veggie fan. A gift from some nice people whom I helped get a temple in Norwalk. The scariest thing about Artesia is the shops that remove hair with thread, EEK.
