How does Magic Mountain Fright Fest work? (Tickets)

We will be going to Six Flags Magic Mountain during a Fright Fest weekend when the park opens at 10:30am and doesn't close until 1:00am. We've never been there during Fright Fest before. We don't care about doing any of the mazes. We just want to ride the rides. Will we have to buy a special/seperate ticket, or can we stay all day long (1030a - 1a) with a normal single day ticket without having to exit the park at a certain time (like Universal makes you do for HHN)?

We just want to go and ride the rides and 14 1/2 hours is perfect for us. The Fright Fest stuff is just a bonus.

Anyone ever done Fright Nights before and know how it works? Can I ust buy a basic ticket for the day and enjoy the ENTIRE day 10:30am-1:00am? Not interested in the mazes.

Fright Fest is not a separate ticket event like Horror Nights at Universal or Knott's Scarry Farm.
General admission tickets will be valid for both daytime theme park hours and Fright Fest hours. At around 5pm the Mazes and Scare Zones will open. All rides and attractions (except the Kid areas) will remain open.
General admission will give you access to all scare zones and shows during fright fest. However, The mazes are an extra charge on top of your admission.

Thanks! Puts me a ease.

Fright Fest is my favorite!! You would only need to pay extra for a wristband for the mazes if you want. There are scare zones that don't require a wristband. Many of the rides are "dark" for the night. If you can go on a Friday it's MUCH better than a Saturday. We have had a fabulous time on Fridays but went the next Saturday morning and it was packed. HAVE FUN!
