How does B2B work?

I apologize if this has already been posted, but I did search and didn't find answers to all my questions.

I booked B2B cruises for the first time, and I'm wondering a couple of things. It seems like on my 2nd embarkation day that I need to leave the ship and go through customs, hang out in the terminal, then I'll be let back on prior to everyone else (and hopefully have a little quiet time by myself by the adult pool while everyone else is going crazy figuring out what to do on their first day while my luggage is already in my room and unpacked since I have the same room).

Here are my other questions:
1. Does this mean I get to book 2 Palo/Remy dinner reservations?
2. Do I get 2 CC gifts/lanyards?
3. Do I need to check in at the port again and get a new KTTW card?
4. Will someone give me directions on check out/check in on the last night of the first cruise?
5. Will I have the same servers/dining table?

I'm sure I have others, but I just decided to book B2B this morning instead of doing just one 5-night. I figured I could book both and decide to cancel later if I change my mind.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Yes, on the turn around day (if it's in a US port) you'll need to exit the ship and re-check in in the terminal. As to how much time you'll have back onboard before "everyone else boards" it can vary from you being allowed to reboard almost immediately (more time with no new cruisers) to just before Concierge (no time that's just you onboard).

1. Yes, each cruise is a separate cruise, so you are allowed one brunch and one dinner precruise booking for Palo and Remy.
2. Yes. Each cruise you'll get the Castaway Club gift in your room. You also get new lanyards (if you want them) for the second leg.
3. Yes, you check in in the terminal and get a new KTTW card.
4. You'll receive a letter the night before last with your procedures. They can vary somewhat from being told to meet onboard with other B2B people (usually when there's a lot of them) to be escorted off the ship and to check in in the terminal. Or you could just be directed to be off the ship by XX time to check in on your own.
5. At the end of the first cruise, typically, your head server will visit your table and ask if you want to remain on the same rotation with the same servers. You can say "yes" or "no" - whatever you want.

1. Yes
2.Yes
3.Yes Only B2Bs are in the terminal at this time so no lines
4. You will get a letter in your room explaining the procedure. We have always just walked off in the morning around 9am. Taking our documents for check in/passport etc. And electronics to entertain ourselves
5. We have been asked a couple of days before the end of the 1st week if we want the same table & if we want the same servers.

Mathgeek, we're looking at doing that, too, next summer! We have a 4 night on the Dream booked, and I really want to do another 7, but I love the idea of 2 days at CC, and this b2b will get us to Gold! It's also about $600 cheaper than the 7 night.

Just did our first B2B and want to add that if you book the same stateroom you do not have to pack up your stuff - it can stay in the room while you go through the process of disembarking and re-embarking.

This was super easy, but I did have a little stress about being in the right place when we debarked the first leg, but that was my issue, not DCLs. I definately don't agree with those that say it is a lost day, for ours we were off the ship for a grand total of 50 minutes which included waiting to go through customs because a family had not gotten off yet. Would do it again in a heartbeat:)

Thank you all so much! Makes me feel better that it was the right choice to make this reservation the way I did.

kjduncan, what are you doing B2B? I'm booked for 2 double dips. 4 days at CC here I come! :beach:

Thanks! Got my favorite little stateroom booked for both. I was glad it was available on both cruises, but since I was booking today on the first day they were released, I was hoping it wouldn't be an issue.

5. We have been asked a couple of days before the end of the 1st week if we want the same table & if we want the same servers.
We were also asked if we wanted a private table on the second leg of the B2B. Opted for the same servers and shared with other guests

Thought of another question.

6. On the 2nd embarkation day after I've been let back on the ship, can I get into my room before everyone else, or do I have to wait until 1:30 when they open up the staterooms? Just want to know how much I'll need to take with me when I leave my room in the morning. (And I do have the same room for both.)

You can access your room until the "new" cruisers start boarding. Then you have to either stay in your room or out of your room until all the rooms are ready.

They prefer that there aren't people crossing the barrier, so that others think they can do it also.

Good questions! We are doing our first b2b in September 3 night on The Dream followed by 4. Was wondering can we book two cruise place holders? One per cruise? Totally 2? Also does each cruise count towards becoming platinum?

Each home address can do an onboard booking for one future cruise, maximum of 2 rooms. You can do this on each leg of a B2B.

Each cruise is a separate cruise, so counts towards Castaway Club status.

Concierge on the new ships and go in/out.

Thanks for asking these questions, we just booked our first B2B this week and I was wondering all the procedures as well.
We have the same room for both cruises as well, makes it so easy.
I have seen several people booked the same 2 cruises as we did, so I have a feeling we will be a big crew re-boarding, should be fun.

What about parking at the port for a B2B? How does the garage know that we are doing 3 and 4 nights and not just 3 nights?

On our recent B2B on the Wonder, our stateroom host told me we were free to come and go to our stateroom as we wished. We didn't do so around the time others would be congregating by the ropes as I do think that would be confusing to others. Still it was nice to drop off our things in the cabin. I intended to start laundry at that time, too, but was told the laundry room was closed for cleaning.

We booked another B2B on our first cruise and then a third cruise on the second cruise for a total of three/cabin.
