How do I know what my pins are worth?

I have a handful of pins from the Hong Kong Disneyland openning. I am under the impression that these pins were only released during a small time frame and that they are relatively hard to find at WDW.

I've never traded pins before so I have a few questions:

1. Am I allowed to trade HK DL pins at WDW?
2. If so, what are they worth (in terms of pins, not money)? I don't want to get ripped off.
3. Should I hold on to these pins?

And another question . . . I received a pin in 1996 when my high school band marched in the Disneyland Parade. Is there worth anything or should I just toss it?

Thanks!

3. Should I hold on to these pins? If you like them, or trade for something you like better or check completed auctions on ebay to see what they may be worth in $$

It may be worth something..depends a lot on what character is on it..so do not toss it
