How have you found the crowds in february during the week of presidens day?

Busy enough that I was really glad to be using something like Tour Guide Mike.

We went this past President's Week. I didn't think it was crazy. It was crowded, but VERY managable. We always had a plan. We arrived early, hit the big rides first, and used fast passes. We did everything we wanted, no problems. The second showing of F! on Thurs night wasn't even full. The only thing that was crazy crowded was TSM. It had an 80 minute wait by 9:20 AM and was out of FP by 10:30 AM.

were you there the week of or week prior to presidents day weekend (being presidents day is on a monday) we are thinking of the week prior in 2010 Feb 7th to Feb 13th-leaving just at the begining of the weekend-thoughts??

We go down each year the week before President's Day, and it is always great in the parks because there aren't many people there. This year was particularly deserted during that week (for example, walked right into things like Pirates and Tower of Terror with no more than 5 minute wait). When President's Day weekend comes, however, watch out. This is why we always leave on Friday before President's Day. Hope this is helpful.

One thing to think of - is Super Bowl Sunday is the 7th, but I've read that the parks are pretty low crowd during that time. EVEN when the SB is in Florida! We're going the 6th and the only way this will affect us if if our Steelers are in it again - we'll be in out THV watching the game :lmao: ! And the MVP and/or other players are sometimes in a parade at the MK that Mon. (usually) but other parks aren't bad - according to what I've read. Even though the parade can get crowded, it's still not supposed to be a really big crowd this week of Feb. according to all of the TGs I've seen! We'll be there the 6th - 12th though!

We went this year President's week, arriving Monday departing Thursday. The airfare was high and that's why we shortened our stay. It was busy, but the only ride that was crazy was Toy Story at HS. We were able to eat lunch at Brown Derby and Mexico with no ADRs. It's a great week to get away from the cold northeast.

It was very busy this year and the week after, even busier. Plus they cut back on Spectromagic and Fantasmic showings to twice a week and it really put big crowds into certain parks on those days.

We just got home from our second President's week trip and had a blast. The crowds are very manageable and the only wait we had was for TSM and that was about 30 min. The cut backs on Fantasmic actually helped with planning, since we have seen it several times and had no desire to go again. The weather was nice, considering we were coming from the northeast.

Not sure what people mean by crowds being manageable?

I was there on Feb 20 & 21. On Feb 20 I arrived at the parks at 8:45 and stood in line by innoventions to go to the Land to get on Soaring. They had the cast members come out and escort the entire line, walking to the Land to get on the ride. I was in the first group but when I got off the ride the line was already 30 minutes and the line for fast pass was out into the eating area back to the entrance to Listen to the Land ride. The fast pass time was already up to noon and I heard that fast for Soaring was done by noon for the day. Test track had a 50 minute wait at 10am.

At about noon I made my way over to MK and it was worse. The key indicator for us is what is the wait on It's a Small World. That had a 20 minute wait. Space Mountain 75 mins, Peter Pan 45 mins, Pooh 40 mins, etc. There wasn't a line at MK less than 30 mins other than Small World. Mind you the temp was not even out of the 60's yet and even Splash Mountain had a 35 min wait. Go figure.
Back to Epcot in the afternoon and Test Track was up to 80 mins and Soaring 80 mins. Mission Space must be loosing it's excitment or people are just scared to go on it but it was on 10 mins on the orange side and 5 on the green side

Saturday wasn't much better with the crowds.

With the Florida resident specials they have I think everyone in FL was there along with many of the Brits. Love the Brits.

We were there from Sun. Feb 15 - Fri Feb 20. It was my 50th trip to WDW and I thought the crowds were pretty large, but still a little less than expected. TSM was almost unrideable (is that a word?). We arrived at MGM (OOPS, sorry, Hollywood) Studios at 8:15 for a 9:00 opening. Turnstiles opened at 8:45, ropes on Hollywood Avenue held us back. Ropes drpooed at 9:00, everyone but 4 people head to TSM, ride line says 25 minutes, fastpass line is backed up on Mickey Avenue almost to the Little Mermaid. We just got in the ride line, waited about 35-40 minutes.

The EMH times, especially at night were very crowded. One day, at the MK, the published closing time was 9:00pm. During the afternoon, they announced they were staying open to 10pm and there would be a second showing of Spectromagic. I personally have never seen an expansion of the opertaing hours announced during the day. I think that tells you that there were more peole than Disney expected.

One man's observations...
