Which Disney resorts offer transportation to the port? Do they all? Also, we would like to arrive at port as early as we can...is a Disney Hotel the way to go or would the Hotel at the airport be better?

From what I understand all the resorts now offer DCL transfers to the ship but if you are looking to get to the port early then staying at the resort is not the way to go unless you use alternate transportation.

The DCL buses do not start picking up from the resorts until 11:30-11:45 and don't get to the port until about 1:00 ish (maybe a little before or after).

The DCL buses start leaving the airport at around 9:30-9:45 so those will get you to the port earlier.

Another option is to rent a car and drive to a hotel near the port. You can either take the hotel shuttle to the port after you have dropped off your rental or just take the rental office shuttle to the ship.

We stay at the port, WDW is the opposite way from the airport so you have a longer drive (by about 30 minutes) then staying at the airport.

We rent a one way car, make the drive from the airport to the port that night and go to our hotel to enjoy a night of sleep & a nice leisurely morning before getting on the ship. The one time we stayed at WDW we were frantic, it seemed like a LONG drive to the port and we were all grumpy when we got there.

ETA The port hotels are cheaper then staying on site usually AND DCL transportation will cost you an arm and a leg if there are more then 3 people traveling with you, it's cheaper to take a shuttle or rent a vehicle yourself if you have 4+ people going. (and faster too)

If you rent a one-way car, where do you drop it off the next morning? Which port hotels have you stayed at? Thanks

The car rental offices near the port are Avis, Hertz, Budget, Thrifty/Dollar, Enterprise.

You would drop your car off at one of the rental offices and then take the rental office shuttle to the port.

OR

What we do is keep the rental until we drop people and luggage off at the port and then return the rental so only one person has to take the rental shuttle to the port and meet up with the rest of us.

You can find rental car discount codes at www.mousesavers.com

The three closest hotels to the port are the Country Inn and Suites, the Marriott Residence Inn and the Radisson. Out of the three of them I like the MRI the best.

I just checked all 3 of these hotels for the night before our Feb 26 cruise and none of them have availability. I know there was supposed to be a shuttle launch but it has been delayed. Any chances some of these rooms will open up?

Did you call the hotels directly or just use their websites?.....I would call them directly and talk to them about availability.

We are doing a rental car one/way. Got it for $50 including tax through Costco and a hotel at the port through hot-wire, so perhaps try hot-wire or priceline. We are at the Comfort Inn and Suites, got a good deal. We will return our car to the rental company and take their shuttle. Good luck

We always stay at the Hyatt at the Orlando airport the night before a cruise and use DCL transportation to get to the port. It's really convenient after picking up our luggage from the airline, DCL picks up the bags from the hotel room, the checkin at the hotel is painless, and the ride to the port is enjoyable.
