Hollywood and vine at 3:30 characters still out from lunch?

We have an ADR for Hollywood and vine for 3:30 in may. My son doesn't like to hug all the characters, but he does like to look. I've been trying to get an earlier reservation but no luck yet. What are our chances of still catching a peak of the characters at 3:30?

As far as I know, if dinner starts at 3:30, you will not see characters. There is no dinner character dining at H&V.
