Hilton Head at Thanksgiving-our "go-to" spot. This year will be our 10th connsecutive Thanksgiving there. Golf courses-yes, they'll be open on Thanksgiving., at least they were. One year DH played in a shot-gun start at one, because they were closing at noon. However, in the last few years he's done the 5K/10K sponsored by the Island Rec center instead-one of the few days he doesn't play golf. Weather is very variable from year to year, so it's hard to say. One year we had ice on Thanksgiving day, and it was literally freezing cold. Another year it was in the 80s. So you just hope for the best. Is the resort booked for studios and 1 BRs the entire week? You might try Members' Cash. We just added a few days after Thanksgiving and the resort was booked. I asked the CM to check Members' Cash and although she said that if the resort was booked on points, it was probably booked on MC. "Oh" she said "It IS available on MC". So we're doing points-cash-points.
